Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Acute Gouty Arthritis Of Damp-heat Congestion Type By Bixie Qufeng Decoction

ObjectiveProfessor Qiu Qingzhong,a famous traditional Chinese medicine in Foshan,based on the theory of "one basis and three parts" and combined with clinical experience,summed up the experience prescription-Bixie Qufeng Decoction to treat acute gouty arthritis attack and achieved good curative effect.This study will explore the clinical efficacy of Bixie Qufeng Decoction in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis of damp-heat accumulation type,and comprehensively evaluate the practicability of Bixie Qufeng Decoction in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis of damp-heat accumulation type,so as to provide more powerful evidence for further affirming the efficacy of Bixie Qufeng DecoctionMethodsAccording to the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria,70 patients with acute gouty arthritis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,35 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with loxoprofen sodium tablet and Chinese herbal medicine Bixie Qufeng Decoction,while the control group was treated with loxoprofen sodium tablet and benzbromarone capsule orally for one week.Before and after treatment,the levels of uric acid and C-reactive protein were examined by blood sampling.The patients were scored by VAS pain score and TCM symptom score table to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Bixie Qufeng Decoction on acute gouty arthritis.The biochemical indexes and scale scores of the two groups before and after treatment were recorded and analyzed statistically,and the conclusion was drawn.Results1.There were 35 patients in the treatment group.The clinical results were as follows:4 cases were controlled,22 cases were markedly effective,8 cases were effective and 1 case was ineffective.The total effective rate was 97.14%respectively.There were 35 patients in the control group.The clinical effect was as follows:1 case was controlled,9 cases were markedly effective,21 cases were effective and 4 cases were ineffective.The total effective rate was 88.57%.There were significant differences in clinical efficacy and total effective rate between the two groups.The treatment group was superior to the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.01).2.Before and after treatment,the levels of uric acid,C-reactive protein,VAS pain score and total score of TCM syndromes of the two groups had statistical significance(P<0.01),indicating that both groups had therapeutic effect on acute gouty arthritis attack,effectively alleviated the clinical symptoms and joint function of patients,and could reduce the levels of uric acid and C-reactive protein.3.After treatment,there were significant differences in uric acid,C-reactive protein level,VAS pain score and total score of TCM syndromes between the two groups(P<0.01).It is concluded that the treatment of acute gouty arthritis with Chinese herbal medicine Bixie Qufeng Decoction is superior to the control group in improving clinical symptoms,joint function and lowering uric acid and C-reactive protein levels,and the difference is significant.ConclusionIt can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and joint function of patients with gouty arthritis,and reduce the levels of uric acid and C-reactive protein.It provides an efficient,safe,economical and simple method for the treatment of acute gouty arthritis,which is worthy of further promotion and in-depth study in clinic.
