Objective:The Care Evaluation Scale 2.0 was introduced and applied to the bereaved families of cancer patients in China to verify their reliability and validity and explore their applicability in China. It provides a simple and practical evaluation tool to evaluate the structure and process of hospice care in the future. Methods:This study includes two stages: the cross-cultural adaptation and the formal investigation of the Care Evaluation Scale 2.0(CES2.0).The Cross-cultural adaptation: By consulting the literature, systematically reviewing the evaluation tools of the quality of hospice care at home and abroad, selecting and introducing the CES 2.0 for cancer patient, and then obtaining the authorization of Professor Mitsunori Miyashita of the original scale. The cross-cultural adaptation of the CES 2.0 was carried out in strict accordance with the introduction process of the standard international scale through five steps: the translation(forward translation),synthesis, back translation(reverse translation),expert committee review and pretesting. It can form an evaluation scale in line with the national conditions of our country. The formal investigation: A convenient sampling method was used to investigate the families of 200 patients who died of cancer from two third-grade class-A hospitals and one hospice care institution, and 30 of them were re-tested after a two-week interval.Using SPSS23.0 and Amos17.0 Software to analyze the data, item analysis was used to screen the items of the scale, and internal consistency reliability, half reliability and test-retest reliability were used to test the reliability of the scale. The content validity of the scale was evaluated by expert review, and the structural validity of the scale was verified by exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Results:The correlation analysis between each item and the total score of the scale showed that the correlation coefficient between the score of each item and the total score of the scale was 0.229 to 0.564(all > 0.2),which indicated that each item had high homogeneity with the scale, and all the items were retained.By analyzing each item that makes up the Chinese version of the CES 2.0,The critical ratio(CR)of each item was calculated.the results showed that all the items were statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the CR values were more than 3.0,which indicated that the scale had a good item discrimination,so all items were retained. The Cronbach's ? coefficient of the scale was 0.819,and the Cronbach's ? coefficient of each dimension was ranged from 0.631 to 0.795.The items of the scale are divided into odd number and even number, and the half reliability is 0.870.The test-retest reliability of the scale was 0.886,and the test-retest reliability of each dimension was ranged from 0.728 to 0.878.The content validity of each item level(I-CVI)was ranged from 0.75 to 1.0,and the content validity of the scale level(S-CVI)was 0.925,which indicated that the content validity of the scale was good.Through exploratory factor analysis,10 common factors were extracted,a total of 28 items, the cumulative variance contribution rate was 68.351%,and the factor loading value on its own factor ranged from 0.517 to 0.907(all >0.4).By constructing the structural equation model for confirmatory factor analysis, the number of samples in this study is not large, close to 200 cases. The CHIN was 444.843,DF was 305,CHIN/DF was 1.459,GFI was 0.863,AGFI was 0.817,NFI was 0.725,CFI was 0.887,RMSEA was 0.050.The results show that the scale has good structural validity and the model fit is basically good. Conclusion:Through translation, synthesis, back translation, expert committee review and pretesting, the Chinese version of the CES 2.0 has good reliability and validity and can be used as an effective tool to evaluate the structure and process of hospice care for cancer patient.
