Objective:Describe the status of family caregivers' caring ability and social support in children with acute leukemia;explore the influencing factors of family caregivers' care ability in children with acute leukemia;analyze the correlation between family caregivers' caring ability and social support;clarify the impact of social support on the care capacity of family caregivers;understanding the existing care difficulties of family caregivers in children with acute leukemia, and providing evidence for clinical interventions to improve the care capacity of family caregivers in children with acute leukemia.Method:This study used a convenient sampling method to conduct a cross-sectional survey from September 2017 to December 2018 at the Blood Center of a third-grade children's hospital in Suzhou. Before the formal investigation,20 family caregivers of children with acute leukemia were pre-investigated to test the feasibility of the Family Caregiver Care Capacity Scale,General Information Questionnaire and Social Support Scale for the Hematologic Malignancies in this study, and to improve the relevant Questionnaire.A formal investigation was subsequently conducted to recruit 235 family caregivers from children with acute leukemia.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 19.0 software to descriptively analyze the demographic data of children with acute leukemia and family caregivers, the disease-related data of children, the status of family caregivers' care ability, and the status of social support.Factors affecting the care ability of family caregivers in children with acute leukemia were analyzed by univariate analysis and multiple linear regression analysis;the effect of social support on family care capacity was analyzed by Spearman correlation. The difference was statistically significant at P<0.05.Results:1.Cross-sectional survey results showed that the family caregiver's ability to take care of children with acute leukemia scored(59.79±9.52).The low-to-high care ability was to seek support resources, emotional management, balanced care and personal needs, disease cognition and on-demand care skills.Among the acute leukemia family caregivers, the single item in the care ability score is ranked in the top five.It predicts the estimated assistance and services needed in the future, makes your life creative, eases daily cumbersome affairs, and avoids the future and future of the individual.Loss or limitations, assessing the condition of the care recipient and observing changes in the caregiver's condition(including acute complications of the disease and sudden onset of illness)and confidence in his or her care skills, clarify the impact of social support on the care capacity of family caregivers.2.Among the family caregivers of children with acute leukemia, the top five items of care ability scores are predicted to estimate the assistance and services needed in the future,to make their life creative,to alleviate daily tedious tasks, and to avoid the future of the individual. And the loss or limitation of the future, assessing the condition of the care recipient and observing the condition of the caregiver(including acute complications of the disease and sudden onset of the disease)and expressing confidence in his or her care skills.3.The social support status scores of family caregivers of children with acute leukemia were 41.86±5.76,of which social support status was 69.36%of the intermediate level and 30.64%of the higher level. The total score of social support for family caregivers was compared with the domestic norm, which was higher than the domestic norm, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The results of univariate analysis of family caregivers for children with acute leukemia showed that the age of children had an impact on the care ability of family caregivers(P<0.05),male caregivers had better care ability than females(P<0.05);in-service or part-time family caregivers had lower caring ability than left or retired family caregivers(P<0.05);The care ability of caregivers has an impact. The higher-level of education, the stronger care-ability(P<0.05).The monthly income of family members affects the caring ability of family caregivers. The higher income, the stronger care-ability(P<0.05);Acute leukemia family caregivers, the longer care time, the stronger care-ability(P<0.05),and the caregiving skills of the family caregivers with less than one month of care is the lowest.5.The results of multivariate analysis of family care ability of children with acute leukemia showed that there was a correlation between work status, family monthly income per capita, caregiver education level and time spent in care and the care ability of family caregivers, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The correlation analysis between family caregivers care ability and social support found that the higher the objective support, support utilization and social support score, the stronger the care ability of family caregivers of children with acute leukemia, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The results of this study show that family caregivers with acute leukemia have low caring ability and need intervention from external interventions.2.The caring ability of family caregivers in children with acute leukemia is affected by factors such as education level, time of care, work status, and monthly income per capita. It is suggested that clinical medical workers can start from various aspects and adopt feasible intervention measures to improve their care ability according to treatment cycle, education level, economic status and time of care.3.The level of social support is closely related to the caring ability of family caregivers in children with acute leukemia. The more social support the family caregivers receive, the higher the support and the greater the caring ability of family caregivers. Therefore, clinical staff can encourage family caregivers of children with acute leukemia to make full use of social support resources to improve the ability to care for children in order to better provide family care services for children..
