Investigation And Countermeasures Study Of The Care Burden And Social Support Of The Adult Intellectual Disabilities Family Caregivers

Objective: to study the survival status of the adult mental disabilities and their caregivers,caregiver burden of care and social support level and caregivers inner experience,analysis the influencing factors,and combing the existing problems and put forward the proposal,promoting policy,to improve adult mental disabilities and caregivers to provide basis for the social security system and social service system.Methods: qualitative interview and cross-sectional survey were used in this study.(1)semi-structured depth interview face to face interview for caregivers of adult mental disabilities,interview process using voice recorder for recording and transcription word by word for data analysis,data analysis using Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis based on information saturated samples in principle,in the presence of no new information to stop the new respondents into the study of object,eventually there were 12 cases involved in the interview.(2)cross-sectional survey: on the basis of interviews designed questionnaire,and USES the caregiver burden scale(CBI),social support rating scale(SSRS),survey of adult mental disabilities and phase of the caregivers general situation and take care of the burden,social support condition.In order to facilitate the sampling,the paper questionnaires were distributed on the site of the nurses training class organized by the federation of disabled persons in hangzhou,and the effective questionnaires were collected at a rate of 162 and the effective rate was 95%.By using the We Chat group of Beijing intellectual disability and friends association to issue electronic questionnaires,197 was recovered,and 182 valid questionnaires were recovered,with an effective rate of 92%.A total of 344 valid questionnaires were recovered.Application of SPSS 20.0 statistical software for data of Beijing and hangzhou second family caregivers of adult mental disabilities the results of the survey analysis,statistical methods including descriptive statistics,t-test,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Results:(1)qualitative research qualitative interview results five topics are:(1)to take care of the work affect caregivers including care of long time and lost their life quality,their health is affected,affect work and the social,economic status,influence caregivers marriage;(2)The mental burden of the caregiver includes anxiety,worry and uncertainty about the future.(3)The weak social support system includes the lack of family support,the lack of supporting institutions,the lack of government policies,and the lack of social tolerance for the mentally disabled.(4)The rehabilitation of mental retardation and the need of family care;(5)There is a lack of knowledge about the caregiver.(2)Questionnaire results(1)caregivers mainly for women,give priority to with parents,and endowment,economic pressure,psychological high pressure,low employment problem;(2)The CBI total score of the family caregivers of the mentally disabled was 50.01±18.17,taking care of the burden,and the highest scoring rate in each dimension was: time-dependent burden and physical burden.Social support score was 25.73±8.37,weak social support.The score of objective support is6.15±3.33,subjective support was12.82±5.53,the use of support is6.76±1.99,in the Beijing area care burden,social support score is low.(3)social support,different areas,caregivers,health care whether mental disabilities to use all the time and mental disabilities instrumental daily life activities ability(IADL)is to take care of the factors that influence the burden of caregivers of poor health,full-time care most affected(regression coefficients are: 5.587 and 5.997),social support,take care of the burden is light.Conclusion: because the mental disabled family caregivers to take care of the heavy burden,social support is weak,demand for future pension urgent problems,therefore the government needs to make batter related policy,increase the mental disabilities foster institutions,establish a mental disorder family endowment institutions,for the unit for adult mental disabilities and their family caregivers provide employment opportunities.
