Research BackgroundAs the aging process of the population intensifies and the people’s awareness of health care increases,the demand for nursing services in the whole society has increased significantly,and higher requirements have been placed on the training of nursing professionals.Secondary vocational nursing students are a relatively special group of students,and anxiety is one of their common psychological problems.If this problem cannot be discovered and interfered in time,it will not only affect its learning and life,but also lead to extreme events such as mental illness and even self-destructive suicide.It will also affect the stability and quality of the future nursing team,and will even affect the harmonious development of future doctor-patient relationship.Therefore,studying the anxiety problems of secondary vocational nursing students,understanding their anxiety status and related influencing factors are of great significance for cultivating high-quality nursing professionals.ObjectiveThis study through a questionnaire survey on secondary vocational nursing students in Huaibei Health School in Anhui Province,to understand the current situation of nursing students’ anxiety,analyze the influencing factors,propose relevant recommendation,provide references for educational decision-makers and managers to formulate relevant policies,for schools to carry out health education and health promotion work and for secondary vocational nursing students to improve the mental health of students.Materials and MethodsThis study adopted cluster sampling method,selected secondary vocational nursing students in Huaibei health school with distributing and recycling questionnaire(including students’ general situation,anxiety self-assessment scale),to investigate the anxiety of the students.With using Excel spreadsheet and SPSS21.0 software package.It established the database,processed and analyzed the date,Univariate analysis used χ2 test,rank test,and unconditional logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of middle vocational nursing students’ anxiety.ResultsThe results showed that the Positive detection rate in secondary vocational nursing students was 41.2%,and the median anxiety score and interquartile range(P25,P75)were 12(6,18).According to the HAMA grading scale,55.1%have anxiety,32.4%have obvious anxiety,and 12.5%have severe anxiety.Univariate analysis showed that the second-grade nursing students’ anxiety detection rate was 48.5%,which was significantly higher than that of the first-grade and third-grade nursing students;the anxiety detection rate of whose family circumstances is general lower was 52.5%,which was significantly higher than that of the better family circumstances;the anxiety detection rate of who don’t care about the school life was 59.1%,which was significantly higher than that of who very yearning for school life;the anxiety detection rate of who have a poor relationship with classmates was 52.9%,which was significantly higher than that of who get along well with classmates;the anxiety detection rate of who have a poor fitness of school life was 65.0%,which was significantly higher than that of who have good fitness of school life;the anxiety detection rate of who have a great pressure on study was 54.0%,which was significantly higher than that of who don’t have pressure;the anxiety detection rate of who have a poor grade was 52.0%,which was significantly higher than that of whose grade was great;the anxiety detection rate of who don’t like the current teaching methods was 44.1%,which was significantly higher than that of who like the current teaching methods.Sleep condition has a great impact on anxiety,the frequent insomnia nursing students’ anxiety detection rate was 78.1%,occasional insomnia’s anxiety detection rate was 50.3%,not insomnia’s anxiety detection rate was 26.1%.According to the univariate analysis,the results showed that grades,pre-school expectations,daily life feelings,fear of school life,use mobile entertainment,sleep,mental health,physical health are the influencing factors of the anxiety of secondary vocational nursing students.Conclusion and RecommendationIn the secondary vocational school,the nursing students have a high detection rate of anxiety,which influencing factors are multi-faceted and comprehensive,including personal,family,school and other factors.Based on this,the following suggestions are proposed:Personal level:First,actively communicate with classmates and teachers,actively adapt to the environment and enhance psychological adjustment;Second,they must establish correct values and outlook on life,cultivate interest and enthusiasm for nursing work,and enhance the sense of mission of nursing work.Family level:parents should pay attention to the healthy growth of children,strengthen communication with children,and provide more psychological support to children.School level:Schools should establish a psychological service network and support system.School administrators and teachers should increase the communication with secondary nursing students,enrich the campus cultural life and learning atmosphere and promote the healthy growth of secondary vocational nursing students.Social level:the whole society should pay attention to the education of nursing,raise awareness of nursing services,respect nurses,and protect the basic rights of nurses.
