Objective:By observing the effect of Qiangxin Capsule on thioredoxin oxidoreductase(Trx R)in cardiomyocytes of rats with heart failure,to explore the possible mechanism of Qiangxin Capsule in regulating redox balance and improving heart failure.Methods: 150 SD male rats were randomly divided the blank control group with 10(Y),the remaining rats were induced by intraperitoneal injection of doxorubicin hydrochloride(ADR).The successful rats were randomly divided into model control group(M),trimetazidine control group(Q),Qiangxin capsule low dose group(D),Qiangxin capsule medium dose group(Z),Qiangxin capsule high dose group(G).)Group Y and M were given saline 20 ml/kg,group Q trimetazidine hydrochloride 5.4 mg/kg,group D,group Z and group G were given Qiangxin capsule 0.2g/kg,0.4g/kg and 0.8g/kg respectively.After 4 weeks of continuous administration,the protein concentration and thioredoxin oxidoreductase(Trx R)activity in rat myocardium were determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry.Result: The Trx R activity of model control group(M)was lower than that of blank control group(Y),with statistical significance(P < 0.05);the Trx R activity of trimetazidine control group(Q),Qiangxin capsule high and medium dose groups was higher than that of model control group(M),with statistical significance(P < 0.05);the Trx R activity of Qiangxin capsule high and medium dose groups was higher than that of trimetazidine control group(Q),with statistical significance(P < 0.05);Trx R activity of Qiangxin capsule low dose group(D)was higher than that of model control group(M),but there was no significant difference(P > 0.05).Conclusion: Qiangxin Capsule can improve myocardial Trx R activity in rats with heart failure,which may be one of the mechanisms of Qiangxin Capsule in treating heart failure. |
