Objective:The patients with food impaction,which confines between upper first and second molar with occlusal wear but tight interproximal contact,was treated by occlusal adjustment.A digital dental cast before and after occlusal adjustments acquired through grating projection,measuring related parameters through reverse engineering to provide quantitative criteria for clinical.Methods:The questionnaire was filled in by the patients who visit Dental Hospital of Shanxi Medical University because of food impaction.Among them,36 patients with occlusal wear but tight interproximal contact were selected and signed the informed consent.Silicone impression and dental cast befor and after occlusal adjustment was made.Three-dimensional contour data of dental cast were obtained through multi-angle shooting of grating projection and related parameters of befor and after occlusal adjustment were measured and analyzed by applying reverse engineering.The SPSS software was used for processing,and P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:1,There was no statistical significance in the value which the lenth of adjacent line/the width of crown of befor and after occlusal adjustment.The area of food spill,the area of buccal embrasure and lingual embrasure befor and after occlusal adjustment,the difference was statistically significance.2,The treatment effect of different area of food spill group differences were statistically significance(P?0.05).There is a great difference between the[2-2.5)mm~2group and the[2.5-3)mm~2group(P?0.0167),the curative effect of[2.5-3)mm~2 group was better than that of[2-2.5)mm~2group.3,The treatment effect of different area of lingual embrasure group differences were statistically significance(P?0.05).There is a great difference between the[2-2.5)mm~2group and the[2.5-3)mm~2group,the[2-2.5)mm~2group and the[3-3.5)mm~2group(P?0.0167),the curative effect of[2.5-3)mm~2 group and[3-3.5)mm~2 group was better than that of[2-2.5)mm~2group.Conclusion:1,Occlusal adjustment is effective in treating food impaction which confines between upper first and second molar with tight interproximal contact.2,The area of food spill reach[2.5-3)mm~2and lingual embrasure reach[2.5-3)mm~2,the therapeutic effect is best.
