objectiveThis research aims to explore population characteristics and clinical characteristics of the patients with insomnia in Shenzhen,and analyze emotional characteristics,sleep quality in patients,research distribution characteristics and influencing factors of the TCM syndrome by collecting basic data and clinical information of the patients with insomnia in Shenzhen.Through the observation of TCM treatment of insomnia,summarize the effective population characteristics to analyze the related factors affecting the efficacy,in order to have more profound understanding of insomnia.It could provide help for clinical diagnosis and treatment.methodThe insomnia patients come from the outpatient of encephalopathy and mental in Shenzhen Chinese Traditional Medicine Hospital between March 2015 and March 2016.First,Study on the characteristics and clinical characteristics of patients with insomnia:The basic information of the patients is collected by the clinical data collection information collection table formulated by Chinese Academy of traditional Chinese medicine.(The information include age,marital status,education level,type of insomnia,prescription of traditional Chinese medicine,sleep quality,depression and anxiety scale).Symptoms and signs of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of symptoms and signs were collected by filling out symptoms and signs of TCM syndrome differentiation table which is self-made.Second,Study on the characteristics of effective population and the related factors of influencing efficacy:All patients who meet the inclusion criteria are accepted treatment of Chinese medicine.The course of treatment is 28 days.the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score as therapeutic indexes are scored before treatment and behind.The efficient distribution and the factors of influencing efficiency are analyzed by the changes between pre-therapy and post-treatment.The data are analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 software.ResultsThis study collected 60 cases of eligible patients.Female include 34 cases(56.7%).There are 26 cases(43.3%)in 41-55 years old group,20 cases(33.3%)in 18-40 years old group,14 cases(23.3%)in 56-65 years old group.30 cases(50%)are married.44 cases(73.3%)are patients with mental labor,and 16 cases(26.7%)are manual workers.29 patients(48.3%)are in the secondary education group.19 cases(31.7%)are in high degree.12 people(20%)are in low degree.Course of disease of 29 cases(48.3%)are more than 24 months.Course of disease of 23 patients(38.30%)are between 3 and 6 months.Course of disease of 8 patients(13.3%)are between 6 and 24 months.42 patients(70%)are living alone,and those who live with others account for 30%.28 cases(46.7%)are falling asleep difficultly.23 patients(38.3%)are hypohyphnotic.9 cases(15%)are dysphylaxia.A higher proportion of patients with insomnia are the type of Liver depression to fire.The percentage of the type of Sputum and fire disturb of male is higher.The female cases are more than male in the one with the type of Liver depression to fire.The percentage of the type of Sputum and fire disturb is higher in course of disease which is more than 24 months.The cases of the type of Liver depression to fire are more than other type in those falls asleep difficultly.The percentage of the type of Heart and Spleen deficiency is higher in those hypohyphnotic.Age and occupation do not impact the distribution of TCM syndrome type.The treatment efficiency relates to insomnia types.There is higher efficiency in those falls asleep difficultly.The treatment efficiency relates to course of insomnia as well.There is higher efficiency in those in the course of 3 to 6 months.The treatment efficiency of male is higher than female.It is of statistical significance.conclusionFemale are more likely to suffer insomnia.Mental workers are more likely to suffer.Insomnia relates to anxiety and depression.Insomnia patients’type of traditional Chinese medicine is mostly the type of Liver depression to fire.The percentage of the type of Sputum and fire disturb of male is higher than female’s.The female cases are more than male in the one with the type of Liver depression to fire or Heart and Spleen deficiency.The cases of the type of Liver depression to fire are more than other type in those falls asleep difficultly.The treatment efficiency of male is higher than female.There is higher treatment efficiency in those in the course of 3 to 6 months.There is higher efficiency in those falls asleep difficultly.
