The Study On The Design,Development And Application Of Safety And Quality Management Informatization Platform For Gerontological Nursing

Objective The study is using the elderly care safety quality index system as a core,to design and develop the safety and quality management informatization platform for gerontological nursing,and select a representative elderly ward of medical institutions to implement it,then evaluate the nurses'satisfaction with the platform and the effects of the application in order to provide an effective tool to improve nursing safety and quality management of elderly care.Methods Guided by the theory of continuous quality improvement and risk management,using the elderly care safety quality index system as the core,this study constructed the structure and content of the gerontological nursing safety and quality management informatization platform through literature review and expert group meetings.Based on the constructed platform,we cooperated with computer engineers to complete its development.And based on the developed platform,purposive sampling was used to select a representative elderly ward of medical institutions to use the platform for three months.Then we used a cross-sectional study and a self-control study to evaluate nursing satisfaction and the platform's effects through questionnaires and a qualitative interview.Results The design and development of the gerontological nursing safety and quality management informatization platform were completed,and its main functions includes the gerontological nursing safety risk assessment,the gerontological nursing safety risk prevention learning and application,and the gerontological nursing adverse event report.After the test of the platform was completed,the nurses'satisfaction degree of the platform was 91.54%through the questionnaire.The qualitative interview showed that nurses considered that the operation of the platform was simple and convenient,and the assessment content was comprehensive and detailed.But they also pointed out problems that need to be perfected.There was a statistically significant difference in scores of gerontological nursing safety risk prevention learning before and after the platform's application?t=4.941,P<0.05?,and there was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of elderly care adverse event(c^?17?=5.860,P<0.05).Conclusion The safety and quality management informatization platform for gerontological nursing was an effective tool to improve nursing safety and quality management.The nurses were generally satisfied and complied with it.The knowledge of safety for gerontological nursing was improved after using the application,and the incidence of adverse events for gerontological nursing has declined.At the same time,the data collected through the platform found that older people had a larger risk for security risks.The platform could help to raise the nurses'awareness of gerontological nursing's risks to safety,reduce incidence and enhance gerontological nursing safety and quality.However,there were still some shortcomings in the platform that need to be improved.
