Clinical Observation On "Jiawei Buzhongyiqi Decoction" In Treating Stable Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Qi Deficiency And Phlegm Stagnation)

Objective: Observe the clinical effect of Jiawei Buzhong Yiqi Tang on Qi-deficiency and phlegm-blocking type in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)to provide some theoretical basis for clinical practice.Methods: According to the principle of random control,64 patients who were diagnosed as Qi Deficiency and phlegm stagnation patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were divided into treatment group and the control group randomly,32 cases in each group.The control group was treated according to the western medicine treatment standard,the observation group was treated by western medicine applied Jiawei Buzhong Yiqi Tang oral.Compared with the Modified Medical Research Council Dyspnea Scale(m MRC),Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Assessment Test(CAT),Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score(TCM syndrome score),and the improvements of lungs function(including FEV1,FEV1/FVC%)of both groups after 4 weeks.To evaluate the clinical efficacy and the safety of Jiawei Buzhong Yiqi Tang by testing the three routine and liver and kidney function.Result: 1.Compared between TCM syndrome score: After 4 weeks of treatment,the scores of TCM syndrome score in the treatment group and the control group were significantly decreased(P <0.01),and the score of TCM syndrome score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P <0.05).2.Compared between m MRC: After 4 weeks of treatment,the symptoms of dyspnea were significantly improved in the treatment group and the control group(P <0.01),and the decrease of the dyspnea score in the observation group was greater than that in the control group(P <0.05).3.Compared between CAT: After 4 weeks of treatment,the CAT scores of the treatment group and the control group were significantly improved(P <0.01), and the decrease of CAT score in the observation group was larger than that in the control group(P <0.05).4.Compared between lungs function: After treatment for 4 weeks,the levels of FEV1 and FEV1/FVC% in the treatment group and the control group were significantly improved(P <0.01),and the improvement of FEV1 and FEV1/FVC% in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P <0.05).5.Compared with the security: There were no significant abnormalities in the blood,urine,fecal routine and liver and kidney function of the patients during the 4 weeks of clinical trials(P> 0.05).Conclusion: Using Jiawei Buzhong Yiqi Tang to treat Qi-deficiency and phlegm-blocking type in COPD is effective.Jiawei Buzhong Yiqi Decoction can improve the clinical symptoms of COPD,and increase the quality of life,make the lungs function better.It is effective prescription of treating Qi-deficiency and phlegm-blocking type in COPD and No toxic side effects were found.
