| Objective: To observe the improvement of the hand spasm and motion function for post-stroke patients treated with floating-needle therapy using replenishment techniques combined with rehabilitation therapy.Furthermore,in contrast to individual rehabilitation therapy, providing evidence for clinical validity and application of floating-needle therapy using replenishment techniques in treating hand spasm of post-stroke patients. Methods: According to the serial number in hospital, eighty hand spasm patients in post-stroke were randomly divided into the control group and the trial group, forty cases in each group. The two group patients were given routine neurological medication as a basic treatment. In the control group, individual rehabilitation therapy was adopted for 5 days in a week, twice a day in the forenoon and afternoon,45 min one time.In the trial group,floating-needle therapy using replenishment techniques combined with rehabilitation therapy was using for 5 days in a week, once a day. After treatment for 8 weeks, the efficacies of the two group patients were compared. Moreover, the hand spasm degree(modified Ashworth scale),the activities of daily living(Barthel index)and the hand motion function(Fugl-Meyer score)were evaluated.Results:(1)The hand spasm degree: After treatments for 1 week,2 weeks and 8 weeks, the MAS scores of the two groups were apparently lower than those before treatments(P < 0.05).However,there was no significant difference on the MAS scores between the two groups(P > 0.05).(2)The activities of daily living: After treatments for 1 week,2 weeks and 8 weeks, the BI scores of the two groups were apparently higher than those before treatments(P < 0.05).However,there was no significant difference on the BI scores between the two groups(P > 0.05).(3)The hand motion function: After treatments for 1 or 2 weeks, the FMA scores of the two groups were apparently higher than those before treatments(P < 0.05),however,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).After treatments for weeks, the FMA scores of the two groups were evaluated continuously(P < 0.05),and the trial group had a significant effect on the hand motion function compared to the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusions:(1)Both individual rehabilitation therapy and floating-needle therapy using replenishment techniques combined with rehabilitation therapy could significantly improve the hand spasm degree, the activities of daily life and the hand motion function.(2)Floating-needle therapy using replenishment techniques combined with rehabilitation therapy was more effective than individual rehabilitation therapy. Moreover, the combination therapy was worthy of clinical application basing on its ease-of-use,rapid onset and effectivity. |
