This study is based on the basic requirements for the teaching of English courses in Higher Vocational and Technical Colleges,as well as the background of the problems in the teaching of foreign nursing specialty in higher vocational colleges.Through the literature review,the connotation of ESP(English for Specific Purposes)teaching concept and the development situation of ESP at home and abroad are expounded respectively.The research results of the needs analysis theory at home and abroad,as well as the theoretical basis of interactive teaching and the characteristics of interactive teaching design are discussed.After that,based on the needs analysis theory,through the design and implementation of questionnaire and interview form,the current situation of public English teaching in foreign nursing specialty is analyzed from three perspectives:teacher teaching needs and students' learning needs,and the needs of nursing workers.Finally,combining ESP teaching design principles and interactive teaching theory and design principles,this paper explores the practical significance of interactive teaching in ESP teaching in foreign nursing specialty through teaching design examples.The purpose of this study is to solve the following problems:based on needs analysis,first,how to develop ESP teaching content in higher vocational foreign nursing major,namely,how to design and adapt teaching contents on the basis of original teaching materials?Second,how to carry out ESP teaching design and implementation in combination with the interactive teaching theory,in view of the foreign nursing specialty in higher vocational education?Third,how to carry out ESP teaching evaluation of foreign nursing specialty in higher vocational education?Through the investigation,experiment,the test and analysis of the experimental results,and based on the specialty of ESP teaching,which is outstanding and practical,the author finds the following conclusions:In the aspect of teaching content,in addition to rational and effective use of the original material,we should also actively develop other resources,such as foreign textbook or literature,image data,medical instructions and precautions,visual aids,and can make full use of online learning platform to improve the efficiency of students' autonomous learning;In the aspect of teaching design,based on the "teacher led,student-centered" teaching model,teachers need to design a variety of interactive activities,such as through role-playing,scene simulation,competition,demonstration and other forms,strengthen the teacher-student,student-student interaction,in order to let students fully learn from doing,do from learning and develop both their English and professional abilities;In the aspect of teaching evaluation,we should diversify the form of evaluation and evaluate the students in many angles and in many directions,which is to say,on the basis of the traditional finality evaluation,it is necessary to highlight the process evaluation,such as classroom performance,group task,classroom test,after class operation,etc.,and only by combining the finality evaluation and process evaluation can we make a detailed evaluation of students' knowledge mastery and language application ability.Finally,the author summarizes the deficiencies in this survey and research,and points out the problems to be paid attention to in the future.
