| Objectives:The aim of the study is to understand the population characteristics and prevalence of chronic diseases of Naxi residents in Yunnan Province by obtaining the residential health data.To determine the value of serum CRP and Leptin and the relationship between CRP,Leptin and chronic diseases among Naxi residents. It provides new ideas for early prevention and diagnosis of chronic diseases for ethnic minorities. Methods:The multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling was used to determine the study site and subjects. The demographic information, life behavior habits, dietary intake, nutrition status and history of the Naxi residents were obtained by questionnaire.Medical physical examination and laboratory measurements were applied to acquire baseline health data and biochemical parameters;ELISA method was used to detect serum CRP and Leptin value.Chi square test, rank sum test, rank correlation and multivariate logistic regression analysis were employed. All statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 21.0 software.P<0.05 was statistically significant.Results:1.The prevalence rate of hypertension, diabetes, obesity, overweight, abdominal obesity, and dyslipidemia in Naxi nationality was 31.1%,1.5%,17.8%,29.6%,56%,65.3%,respectively.2.The serum CRP level of Naxi residents was 0.73(0.28,1.65)g/mL,and the male was higher than that of the female. The level of Leptin was 4.20(1.75,8.14)ng/mL,and female was higher than that of male.3.The concentrations of CRP in hypertensive patients in Naxi population were higher than those in normal participants and there was no significant difference in Leptin concentration(P>0.05).After stratification by sex and age, there was a positive correlation between CRP and systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure(P<0.05,r = 0.212/0.187).There was no correlation between Leptin and systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure(P>0.05).Similar results were obtained after stratification by sex and age. There was no significant difference in the concentration of CRP and Leptin between diabetic patients and normal subjects in Naxi residents(P>0.05).There was no correlation between CRP and Leptin concentration and blood glucose concentration(P>0.05).After gender and age stratification, the results have no changed. The concentrations of CRP and Leptin in different BMI groups of Naxi residents were overweight>overweight>normal>wasting. The results were almost unchanged after sex and age stratification. The concentrations of CRP and Leptin in abdominal obesity patients were higher than those in normal subjects, and body fat rate was higher in obese patients than in normal subjects. After stratification by sex and age,the results have changed. The concentration of CRP and Leptin had a positive correlation with BMI(r = 0.328/0.619),body fat rate(r = 0.199/0.620)and the size of waist circumference(r = 0.363/0.514)(P<0.05).The correlation of each group was unchanged after sex stratification, but results have changed in different age groups. There was no significant difference in the concentration of CRP and Leptin between the dyslipidemia patients and normal subjects in Naxi residents(P>0.05).After stratification by sex and age,the result was unchanged. There was no correlation between the concentration of CRP and Leptin and the concentrations of TC,TG,HDL and LDL(P>0.05).4.High age, high BMI value and high blood sugar concentration were risk factors for hypertension, and women may be less likely to suffer from hypertension than men.Waist circumference and high LDL concentration were risk factors for diabetes.High BMI,high LDL,CRP and Leptin levels were risk factors for abdominal obesity.Aging, high CRP and Leptin concentrations were risk factors for obesity, and female gender had a lower risk of obesity.High carbohydrate intake and high blood glucose were risk factors for high TC level.Higher BMI was a protective factor for high TC level.Aging was a risk factor for the occurrence of high TG level.Conclusions:1.The prevalence rate of hypertension, obesity and dyslipidemia in Naxi residents was not going well.Early publicity and education should be carried out to improve the status quo.2.The CRP and Leptin may not be related factors of diabetes and dyslipidemia.3.CRP and Leptin may be independent risk factors for obesity,There is a positive correlation between serum levels of BMI and body fat and waist circumference.4.CRP may be a risk factor for the occurrence of hypertension, and its concentration is positively correlated with blood pressure. |
