Objective: To investigate the changes and clinical significance of serum hypoxiainducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)levels in rural Naxi population in cross-plateau area.To explore new treatment methods for essential hypertension in plateau area and provide theoretical reference for health guidance and disease prevention of rural Naxi population in this area. Methods: From August 2020 to September 2020,a total of 456 eligible Naxi rural population from two altitude areas in Lijiang City,Yunnan Province were selected as the study subjects by using stratified cluster random sampling method. The general information and routine laboratory indicators of the subjects were collected.ELISA was used to detect the expression of HIF-1α and HIF-1α in serum.According to the hypertension and living altitude of the subjects, the effects of altitude change on HIF-1α,VEGF and blood pressure were analyzed, and the relationship between HIF-1α,VEGF and hypertension was explored.Results:(1)Compared with the rural Naxi population in the moderate altitude areas,The respiratory rate, pulse rate, systolic blood pressure, red blood cell(RBC),hemoglobin(Hb),red blood cell volume(HCT),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C),hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)of rural Naxi population in high altitude area were higher. The blood oxygen saturation was lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in age, diastolic blood pressure, uric acid(UA),Urea and creatinine(CREA)between the rural Naxi population in the two areas(P>0.05).(2)Age,pulse,fasting blood glucose,TC,TG,LDL-C,HIF-1α and VEGF in the hypertension group were higher than those in the non-hypertension group, while blood oxygen saturation was lower than that in the non-hypertension group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in UA,Urea,CREA,HDL-C,gender,smoking,drinking and pickled food consumption between the two groups(P>0.05).(3)The expressions of HIF-1α and VEGF in hypertension group were significantly higher than those in non-hypertension group in both areas(P<0.05).(4)The levels of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in grade 2 and grade 3 hypertension groups were significantly higher than those in grade 1 hypertension group(P<0.05).The expressions of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in grade 3 hypertension group were higher than those in grade 2 hypertension group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The expression of HIF-1α and VEGF increased with the increase of blood pressure level.(5)Pearson correlation analysis showed that systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were positively correlated with fasting blood glucose, triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C),hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),respectively(P<0.05).And negatively correlated with blood oxygen saturation(P<0.05).Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)were positively correlated(P<0.05).(6)Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that altitude, age, fasting blood glucose,dyslipidemia,hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)were risk factors for essential hypertension.!Conclusions:(1)Blood pressure and serum levels of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)increased with the increase of altitude in rural Naxi population.(2)The incidence of essential hypertension in rural Naxi population is closely related to altitude,HIF-1α and VEGF,and the expression of HIF-1α and VEGF is related to the classification of hypertension.(3)Altitude,serum HIF-1α and VEGF may affect the incidence of essential hypertension in rural Naxi population.
