Clinical Observation Of Modified Guizhi Fuling Pill In The Treatment Of Polycystic Kidney Disease

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of modified Guizhi Fuling Pills in the treatment of polycystic kidney disease CKD(3～4).Methods:A total of 60 patients with polycystic kidney disease(CKD3～4)were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 30)and control group(n = 30)in the outpatient department of Department of Nephrology,the first affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of traditional Chinese Medicine.The treatment group was treated with Jiawei Guizhi Fuling pills and the control group with Niaoduqing granules for 3 months.The clinical symptoms,signs,TCM syndromes and 24 hours urine protein were observed before and after treatment in both groups.Serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen,cystathiasis,beta 2 microglobulin,total cholesterol,triglyceride,LDL-C,HDL-C,urine red blood cell count,kidney volume and so on.Results:(1)After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.01),and those in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).(2)The total clinical curative effect of the treatment group was(73.33%)higher than that of the control group(16.67%)(P<0.01).(3)After treatment,the levels of Cys-C and β2-MG in the treatment group were lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).In the control group,the levels of Scr,BUN and Cys-C were lower than those before treatment(P<0.01),and the levels of β2-MG were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).(4)After treatment,there was no significant difference in total cholesterol,triglyceride,LDL-C and HDL-C between the two groups and before treatment(P>0.05).(5)There was no significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment in 24 hours urine protein quantity(P>0.05).After treatment,the 24h urinary protein quantity in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.01).(6)There was no significant difference in urine erythrocyte count and renal volume between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Jiawei Guizhi Fuling Pills can improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients with polycystic kidney disease(CKD3-4),especially for improving the symptoms such as anorexia and waist soreness.2.Jiawei Guizhi Fuling Pill can reduce the levels of BUN,Cys-C and β2-MG in patients with polycystic kidney disease(CKD3-4).
