Due to the uncertainty and fluctuation of wind energy,the wind power output will have serious impact that causing the wind power consumption problem on the power grid.The wind power consumption problem has become one of the most essential factors that hinder the development of wind power generation.The acceptance of power and energy production are essential for power grid.Wind power forecasting and wind resource monitoring are also crucial in actual scheduling work.Therefore,wind resource monitoring,energy production evaluation and ultra-short-term power forecasting can help to solve the wind power consumption problem.The SC AD A system used in some wind farms basically satisfies the three requirements.But the accuracy of its data may be reduced because of wake impact caused by the blades of the wind turbines.Establishing a met mast which can monitor wind resource,evaluate energy production and forecast ultra-short-time power in the interconnected wind farms can help to improve the accuracy of data through mutually correction with the data of SCADA.The wind energy consumption problem will be easier to be improved.Site selection is the key to the met mast's representativeness.In order to obtain the best position to establish a met mast,this paper proposes a quantized methodology of site selection of a met mast.In this methodology,numerous alternative sites are obtained after mesh dividing.The quantized principles are used to select several appropriate sites from the alternative sites.This paper also proposes an approach to select the site of the met masts through areas dividing in the interconnected wind farms whose scale is larger and topography is complicated.Based on the DBSCAN algorithm,the wind measurement areas are divided according to the arrangement of the wind turbines in the wind farm.And the met masts are set in each areas respectively.Eventually,two examples are used to verify the rationality of the method.And the problem of poor representativeness of the met masts established in the interconnected wind farms is solved.
