Since the advent of photochromic materials,it has been generally studied due to its unique photochromic properties and a wide range of application.Indole-substituted fulgimides photochromic compounds have good thermal stability,good hydrolytic stability and fatigue resistance,and have potential application value in preparation of photochromic textiles.In this paper,The indole derivatives were prepared via Vilsmeier-Haack reaction and N-methylation of 3-methyl substitited indoles.Indolyl substituted fulgides were prepared by the Stobbe condensation reaction of isopropylidene diethyl succinate with1,3-dimethyl-indolyl-2-carbaldehyde.The fulgide,p-phenylenediamineand p-aminophenol were used as raw material to form indole substituted fulgimides.All intermediates and product were characterized by 1~H NMR,(13)~C NMR,LC/MS,ESI-HRMS and ESI-MS.The photochromic properties of indole-substituted fulgimides compounds were studied and compared by UV/vis spectrometry.The results showed hydroxy.substituted fulgimide:it shows good photochromic.properties in aprotic solvents,and has excellent thermal stability,hydrolysis stability and fatigue resistance,prepared · chitosan membranes can't fade;amino substituted fulgimide has good hydrolytic stability,can't fade in the solvent,and has good color fastness in wool fiber.
