| Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of the Jia Wei Shen Qi Gu Ben Tang in treating the chemotherapy related fatigue(CRF)in advanced non-small cell lung cancer.Methods: There were 56 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who were treated at our hospital during January 2016 to December2016.The patients were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 28)and control group(n = 28).The control group was treated with TP,or PP regimen for 2 cycles,while the treatment group taken the Jia Wei Shen Qi Gu Ben Tang during during the period of chemotherapy.Then the TCM symptoms,fatigue degree,quality of life,weight and adverse reaction were compared between the two groups.Results:Chemotherapy related fatigue: Compared with the group before chemotherapy,cancer fatigue scale(CFS)total score and each dimension scores were significantly increased among the treatment group in the third day and the control group in third days and twenty-first days of the 2 cycles of chemotherapy(P < 0.05),Compared with the third day of chemotherapy in 2 cycles,the treatment group’s CFS score and each dimension score was significantly decreased in the twenty-first days(P < 0.05);compared with the control group,the treatment group’s CFS score and each dimension score were decreased in twenty-first days(P < 0.05).TCM symptom: After treatment,TCM syndrome score in treatment group was significantly decreased,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05),including cough and expectoration,shortness of breath,lusterless complexion,lazy words,poor appetite symptoms score(P < 0.05).the treatment group was lower than the control group after treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In the aspect of curative effect of the 2 groups of TCM symptoms,the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).KPS score: After the treatment,KPS score in treatment group was significantly higher,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).And the KPS score of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the two groups,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group,the curative effect of KPS group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Weight: the treatment group after treatment did not significantly increase the weight of patients,there was no statistically significant difference(P >0.05)Compared with the control group,there was no significant difference in weight between the two groups after treatment(P >0.05).The efficiency of weight control was also no statistically significant(P > 0.05).Adverse reactions: Although it showed a effency of lesser number and lower incidence in the treatment group on the aspect of the bone marrow suppression,nausea and vomiting and liver function damage.However,there was no significant difference between the 2 groups(P >0.05).Conclusion: Chemotherapy can significantly increase the fatigue of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.The Jia Wei Shen Qi Gu Ben Tang had a curative effect in the treatment of chemotherapy related fatigue,effective dimension and cognitive dimension which could improve the clinical symptoms and KPS score of patients.It may had some effect on the side effects caused by chemotherapy. |
