A Literature Study On The Characteristics Of Cough Syndrome And The Law Of Medication In Children After Infection

Objective: Through the analysis of nearly 20 years of pediatric PIC literature periodicals,summed up the characteristics of its syndrome type and element,also the medication.Extracting lessons from them was helpful to improve the level of diagnosis and therapy.Methods: Using the computer to search TCM treatment of pediatric PIC from the CNKI Database,the VIP Database and WANFANG Database(1996-2016),choosing literatures in accordance with the criteria,and extracting title of literatures,published time,Journal Name,type,whether or not randomized controlled trial,sample size of treatment group and conrol group,effective cases of treatment group and control group,syndrome differentiation,prescription to set up EXCEL databaseand.Counting the frequency and relative frequency of syndrome types and elements,the property and flavor,meridian tropism,classification and drug pairs occurred in these literatures.Results:(1)collected 48 literatures which met the inclusion requirements,Including 39 clinical research literatures and 9 literatures which introduced experiences.39 clinical research literatures involved 3222 cases.Controlled study were used in 32 literatures,which were poor quality literatures according to Jadad score.(2)48 literatures involved 29 standardized syndrome type,among which the top 5 were qi-yin deficiency,wind invading lung-exterior deficiency,anemogenous phlegm accumulation in lung,lung spleen-deficiency and lung Qi obstruction by frequency.Qi-yin deficiency was the syndrome type which appeared the most frequency.Its corresponding cases also appeared most.(3)48 literatures involved 20 syndrome elements and 13 nature elements of pattern,among which the top 5 were qi deficiency,wind,phlegm,deficiency of yin,heat.These literatures involved 6 location elements of pattern,among which the top 3 were lung,spleen,and exterior.(4)48 literatures involved 62 prescriptions and 112 drugs.The total frequency of these drugs was 635.The top 10 drugs were liquorice,almond,Platycodon grandiflorum,radix asteris,pericarpium citri reticulatae,radix stemonae,Radix Ophiopogonis,tussilago farfara,Poria cocos and radix peucedani.(5)classification of TCD:The top 5 were phlegm cough medicine(22 kinds),qi-reinforcing drugs(10 kinds),heat-clearing drugs(20 kinds),drugs for relieving Exterior Disorder(12 kinds)and yin-reinforcing drugs(7 kinds).(6)property and flavor analysis of TCD: The literatures involved 8 drug properties,which could be concluded to cold,heat,warm,cool,and neutral.The sequence was warm,cold,neutral,cool and heat by frequency of use.All of 7 drugs flavors were involved.The sequence was bitter,sweet and pungent by frequency of use.(7)channel tropism of medicinals: The drugs used involved 13 channel tropism,which the top 5 were lung,spleen,stomach,heart and liver by frequency.(8)analysis of drug pairs: involved 27 traditional Chinese medicine pairs,which the top 5 were liquorice and Platycodon grandiflorum,Pinellia and poria cocos,Radix scutellariae and pinellia,Ephedra and earthworm by frequency.(9)counted cases in 32 clinical controlstudy literatures.The treatment group included 1413 cases,among which 1264 cases took a turn for the better.The control group included 1317 cases,among which 904 cases took a turn for the better.By Chi-square Test,P<0.01.Chinese medicine was more effective than Western medicine in the treatment of pediatric PIC.Conclusion: Most of the syndrome types of pediatric PIC were qi-yin deficiency of syndromes.The frequency of herbs for eliminating phlegm and stopping cough was the highest in the TCM treatment of pediatric PIC.The drug pairs in common use were liquorice and Platycodon grandiflorum,Pinellia and poria cocos,Radix scutellariae and pinellia.The curative effect of TCM treatment of pediatric PIC was significantly.
