Six Sigma is a scientific methodology that relies on statistical techniques to eliminate defects and reduce deviation to improve quality,thereby reducing costs and increasing yeilds.Six Sigma derived from Motorola and has development almost 40 years.It has been accredited by large and middle company all over the world.And the application of DMAIC process to improve quality and reduce cost has become an effective method agreed by many companies.L company need to develop an assembly device to adapt the production of new liquid crystal module products.Base on the consideration of cost and new product's life cycle,it's not suitable to develop the auto assembly machine which include vision system and servo system.That's why it require to develop the semi-auto assembly device in accordance with proper cost.But the problem is stability of assembly quality of the semi-auto assembly device will be relatively poor.This paper mainly studies on how to implement DMAIC methodology on this type of liquid crystal semi-auto assembly device to achieve stable quality output in mass production through equipment design optimization and quality control system.Firstly,it starts from the specification definition of key performance output variables which have the important impact on the assembly quality.Secondly,appropriate measuring instruments are designed from the actual situation,and their measurement system analysis and reliability verification are carried out,so as to provide guarantee for the effective measurement and accurate data collection and analysis of the key performance output variables.In addition,the deviation of assembly is analyzed and determined scientifically and objectively through hypothesis test,and the current assembly level of equipment is analyzed and evaluated by using process capability,which is also the basis for the evaluation of assembly effect.Then,according to the results of current data analysis,the structural design of assembly equipment is improved to minimize the occurrence of assembly deviation.Finally using statistical process control technology for effective production monitoring of the key performance output variables,and set up the whole process of production quality control.The whole improvement process has well solved the problems of achieving stable quality output of this kind of assembly equipment.Through the promotion of this method,the assembly quality of similar related products can be improved,while meeting the needs of enterprises and customers.
