The Impact Of Government Scandals Exposure On The Political Attitudes Of Educated Youth

The news media is a "double-edged sword",which can not only spread positive energy and maintain social stability,but also enlarge the dark side of society,even boost some extreme ideas.As the most active audience groups of the news media,college students are vulnerable to public opinion.And it is easy for college students to develop a radical political attitude.Based on this,the article puts forward the question: "What impact of the news media on the behavior of the government scandal will it have on the political attitude of college students?"On the basis of an in-depth theoretical analysis,the article argues that disclosure of government scandal may have a negative impact on the political attitude of college students from two aspects: reducing the support of the current regime and improving the recognition of the western values.This article puts forward two theoretical assumptions: Hypothesis 1,mass media disclosure of government scandals will reduce the degree of support for the current regime,the more disclosure,the lower degree of support for the present regime;Hypothesis 2,mass media disclosure of government scandals is proportional to the identity degree of western values,the more disclosure,the higher degree of identity of western values.Then a college in the middle China and a college in the east China were selected to carry on questionnaires to the college students' political attitude.The empirical analysis to data that acquired from the questionnaire survey showed that disclosure of government scandal and college students' degree of support for the present regime was a significantly negative correlation relationship,and the relationship was significant positive when the research objects instead by daily movement and identity degree of western values.The empirical results well agreed with the theoretical hypotheses proposed in this paper.Thus it can be seen,the news media disclosure and reporting of government scandals does imperceptible influence college students' political attitude,and it is a significant negative impact.In conclusion,according to the empirical results,the article puts forward several policy Suggestions,hoping to provide reference to college students' ideological and political education in our country's reform and further development.
