Look At The Negative Media Image Of Female College Students From "Tencent News"

According to the mobile APP index data released by iRIndex Research,Tencent News ranks first in the News App category until March 2017.Therefore,this article will take the media image of female students in "Tencent News" as the research object to study the negative media image characteristics of the female students in Tencent News and its causes.The main contents of the study include:First,the article summarizes news reports about female college students in "Tencent News"from August 28,2016 to August 27,2017.From the perspectives of source selection,topic selection and content presentation,this article analyzes news reports about female college students in "Tencent News".The research shows that:(1)In terms of the selection of news sources,the reports about "female students" in "Tencent News" are mostly reprinted in other media and lack originality.The source of the news is mostly local media,which lacks authoritativeness;(2)On the other hand,"Tencent News" prefers to cover such negative issues as the "female college students being infringed,encountering accidents or being rescued" and other negative topics.In these reports,women are often in a passive aphasia.Second,we analyze the specific characteristics of negative media images of female college students in "Tencent News" from two aspects of the concept and behavior.The research shows that:(1).Tencent News tends to emphasize the distorted view of love,the vacancy of the concept of career and the mistake of the concept of money when shaping the media image of female college students.(2).In the behavioral characteristics,through reporting of female college students being killed,cheated,and naked loans,highlighting the excessively "weak," and "naive" characteristics of female college students and emphasizing the cognitive abnormalities of some female college students and emphasizing that female college students tend to use physical sex as the cost of material enjoyment,Tencent News Shapes a female college students media image who pays attention to the external image through weight loss and plastic surgery.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the reasons for the formation of negative media images of female undergraduates from the nature of media of Tencent News,editorial checks,and social communication context.According to the study,there are two main reasons:On the one hand,the editors violated the principle of taking facts as the standard in the process of checking,and the media nature of "Tencent News" uses news as a tool for making money;On the other hand,under the prevalence of culture and consumerism,the influence of the context of communication has created a negative impact on the media image of female college students.
