Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of vitamin D in the treatment of recurrent respiratory infection in children. Methods: Computer was used to search Chinese Journal Full-text Database, the Chinese Journal of Biomedical Literature,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,Vipu Database,PubMed,Embase、Web of Science,The Cochrane Library. All the randomized controlled trials at home and abroard about patients with Vitamin D in the treatment of recurrent respiratory infection in children were collected and were carried out meta-analyzes.Results: After screening,13 of all the Chinese articles were included in study。There were1221 cases of recurrent respiratory infection in children,of which 670 cases were in the intervention group.result of Vitamin D combined with routine treatment vs routine treatment of IgA level[SMD=3.323,95%CI(2.370,4.275),P=0.000)],result of Vitamin D combined with routine treatment vs routine treatment of Vitamin D level [SMD=2.954,95%CI(2.206,3.703),P=0.000],result of Vitamin D combined with routine treatment vs routine treatment of IgG level[SMD=2.146,95%CI(1.817,2.476),P=0.000],result of Vitamin D combined with routine treatment vs routine treatment of IgM level [SMD=1.208,95%CI(0.206,2.211),P=0.018],result of Vitamin D combined with routine treatment vs routine treatment of number of recurrence respiratory tract infection within 1 year [-3.747,95%CI(-4.723,2.771),P=0.000].There are 7articles conclud 688 cases of recurrent respiratory infection in children,of which 341 cases were in the intervention group. The total effective rate of vitamin D combined with routine treatment vs routine treatment for recurrent respiratory tract infection in children is reported. The total effective rate of the intervention group is higher than that of the control group.Only 2 articles were reported in the literature. The serum calcium concentration, serum creatinine level and vitamin D blood calcium level were all kept normal during the period of D treatment(9~11 mg/100 mL).The serum creatinine was not more than 120 umol/L.According to the IgA level as the outcome indicator of sensitivity analysis, according to the results of sensitivity analysis, the Meta analysis results are reliable and statistically non significant heterogeneity. Conclusions: Supplementation of vitamin D on the basis of routine treatment in children with recurrent respiratory infection can significantly increase the level of serum IgG and IgA in children and reduce the number of re respiratory infection in 1 years. Moreover, vitamin D supplementation did not show any obvious adverse reactions in this study.Vitamin Dsupplementation can be used as an effective adjuvant therapy for recurrent respiratory tract infections in children.
