| ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to clarify the connotation and structure of the post competency of pre-hospital first aid nurses, and to construct the post competency evaluation index system of pre hospital first-aid nurses, thus to provide a scientific theoretical basis for the recruitment, training, assessment and management of the pre-hospital first aid nurses.MethodsThrough literature review, the interview outline was determined.Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 3 pre-hospital first aid doctors,5 managers in the field of first aid and 10 pre-hospital first aid nurses to extract the post competency characteristics of pre-hospital first aid nurses. The researcher compared, analyzed and synthesized the evaluation index items collected based on the competence theory, the first draft of the post competency evaluation index system of pre-hospital emergency nurses was initially formed. The Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of questionnaire consultation with 20 experts to modify and improve the initially formed index items, concept connotation and index weights, and finally the post competency evaluation index system of pre hospital emergency nurses was determined.Results1.The evaluation index system of the post competency of pre hospital emergency nurses was preliminarily constructed, which consisted of the five first level indexes,14 second level indexes and 53 third level items. The first level indexes included five dimensions: professional knowledge, professional technology, professional ability, professional development and comprehensive quality,.2.The questionnaire recovery rate of two-round Delphi method was 100%.The personal authority coefficient of expert group was 0.80~0.95,and the group authority coefficient was 0.89,which mean the consultation results are reliable. The evaluation variation coefficient of experts’ judgment on the importance of each index was 0.00~0.09,and the coordination coefficient of the first and second level indexes of two rounds of consultation was(0.29,0.19)and(0.32,0.18),respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05),indicating that the expert group’s opinion on the importance of the indicators is basically the same, with coordination and credibility.3.Using the method of expert scoring to determine the weights of all levels of indicators, the weights of the five first level dimensions were 0.26,0.24,0.23,0.15 and 0.12,respectively.Among the five dimensions, the second-level indexs ranked first were respectively: pre-hospital emergency professional knowledge(0.44),on-site emergency technology(0.40),clinical thinking ability(0.40),physical and mental quality(0.60),continuing education(0.40).ConclusionsThis study constructs the post competency evaluation index system of pre-hospital first aid nurses, including 5 first-level indexes,14 second-level indexes and 53 third-level items, which comprehensively covers the problems that may face and need to be paid attention to in pre-hospital first aid nursing filed. The results provide a scientific theoretical basis for human resources to recruitment, training and management of pre-hospital first aid nurses. |
