The Standardized Management Of Cancer Pain Has An Effect On The Patient And Their Families' Life Quality And Families Play An Important Role In The Process Of Pain Treatment

Objective: To explore the standardization management of cancer pain for patients and their families effect on the quality of life,and the influence of families in the process of pain treatmentMethods: Collect 94 patients diagnosed with cancer and patients with moderate or severe pain(numeric rating scales,NRS>4),NRS < 3 for 2 weeks after the standardized treatment of pain.All patients received conventional anti-tumor treatment.Patients were evaluated with EORTC QLQ-C30(European organization for research and treatment of cancer quality of life questionair,)before and after the standardized treatment of pain.Their families were evaluated with WHOQOL-BREF(The world health organization quality of life).The quality of life of patients and their families were observed.And observe the influence of family members' encouragement on the curative effect and quality of life of patients.Results:(1)The overall health condition of patients has been improved after the standardization management of cancer pain,and overall quality of life of patients has been improved too.(2)Many functions of the patient have been changed,such as physical function,role function,cognitive function,social function,emotional function(P<0.001).(3)The patient's emotional function has been changed significantly(P<0.001).(4)The patient's some symptoms changed,include tiredness,nausea,and vomiting,insomnia,loss of appetite(P<0.001)etc.(5)The quality of life of the family members were improved after the standardization management of cancer pain,also the health status of the family members(P < 0.001).(6)The daily life has been improved(P<0.001),The leisure activities has been improved(P<0.05),The sleep quality has been improved(P < 0.001),appetite of their families were improved(2.63±0.96 vs 3.41±0.82,P<0.001).(7)Mental state of the family members improved significantly(P<0.001).(8)Their families Self cognition has changed after the standardization management of cancer pain(P < 0.05),but no change in relationships(P > 0.05).(9)Family members can influence the therapeutic effect and quality of life(P<0.001).Conclusion:(1)The quality of life and health status of cancer patients were improved after the standardization management of cancer pain.(2)The quality of life of the family members were improved.(3)Family members can influence the therapeutic effect and quality of life.
