Study On Quality Of Life Of Depression Patients And Their Family Members

Objective: to investigate the level of quality of life of depression patients and their family members, and to find factors related to it. Its effect was evaluated so as to provide evidence for the government to make related policies to improve the quality of life of depression and their family members.Methods: The study was conducted at the Center of Mental Health of Anhui province. 148 depression patients and their family members were investigated by outcomes study short-form 36(SF-36) and basic state questionnaire.Result: Group of patients :(1)The score of physical function(PF),vitality(VT),social function(SF)were significantly higher in male than in female.(2)The score of PF is higher in outpatients than inpatients, while the score of role limitations due to emotional problems(RE) is reversed. (3) The score of PF is higher in first-episode patients than recurrent patients,while the score of VT and mental health(MH) is reversed. (4) The score of PF RE VT MH SF is higher in patients of convalescence stage than patients of paroxysmal stage. (5)The score of PF body pain(BP) general health(GH)were significantly higher in people at the age of below 50 than the people above 50,while the score of role limitations due to physical health(RP) was reversed. (6) The score of MH is higher in medical insurant patients than patients who pay their own expense.(7)There is no significant defference in the score of quality of life of in people of town and in village.
