Regularity Of Selecting Pionts Of Acupuncture And Moxibustionin The Treatment Of Stranguria In Ancient Literature

Objective: Retrieve the literature about acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of Stranguria in ancient medical books,and analyze the regulation of prescription and acupoint selection in treating Stranguria systematically and summarize the high-frequency acupoints,which can provide the basis of acupoint selection and theoretical support for clinical research and treatment.Methods: Retrieve the Encyclopaedia of Chinese Traditional Medicine in computer and select the related literature in the part of acupuncture,massage and moxibustion.Establish the database after completing the standardization of data processing and make a statistical analysis with Microsoft Excel.Results: The amount of related prescriptions is 276 which contains 78 acupoints with the frequency being 492.The 200 prescriptions are single-point formula,and the rest are couple or multiple point formula.In the 78 acupoints,71 of them are fourteen meridians points,and 7 of them are extra-meridian points.In terms of distribution,there are 4 acupoints in the head and neck,19 acupoints in the thorax and abdomen,17 acupoints in the back and 38 acupoints in the limbs.In reference to treatment method,there are 44 moxibustion formula,3 acupuncture formula and 3 acupuncture and moxibustion formula.Conclusion: In ancient times,most physicians used single-point to treat stranguria,and the acupoint in Conception Vessel,Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang,Kidney Meridian of Foot-Shaoyin is frequently used.The selected acupoints mostly lie in limbs and abdomen.The ancient physicians attach importance to specific points like Five Transport Points,Crossing Points,Back Transport Points and so on.According to the using times,the top ten acupoints are Guanyuan(CV 4),Qihai(CV 6),Dandun(LR 1),Sanyinjiao(SP 6),Shimen(CV 5),Yinlingquan(sp 9),Shenshu(BL 23),Xiaochangshu(BL 27),Fuliu(KI 7),Qugu(CV 2).
