At present,all countries in the world face a common problem: ageing of population.According to the sixth national data released by the National Bureau of statistics in 2011,China's population accounted for 60 years and above has reached to 13.26 percent.65 years and above has reached to 8.87 percent.Along with the strengthening of the aging trend of the population,a special kind of old age group is attracting people's attention.They are the disabled elders.News reported by China net,by the year 2014,number of people who has reached 60 and above is 210 million,among which the number of disabled and semi disabled elderly is 40 million.On one side,the demand of disabled elderly people for daily food and clothing,rehabilitation nursing has become increasingly prominent due to loss of ability to take care of themselves.On the other side,the”4-2-1”family structure together with structural change have made the family care model loss its ability to give better care for the elderly.Looking back,the other care models including home care,community care and institutional care are still not perfect.There is still a gap between needs of the disabled elderly for long-term care and satisfaction.In a word,how to solve the problem of long-term care for disabled elderly has become an issue of concern to the whole society.Concerning the following background,for example,the speed of aging in our country and the care needs have already accelerated.So,in this paper,I will discuss the following issues in turn,such as the status of long-term care service for disabled elderly in China,care needs and its influencing factors,choice of care model.On the basis of the previous discussion,this paper will analyze and compare the long-term care service system in Taiwan,Japan,Germany,Holland,the United States and other countries.We hope this research can provide helpful reference to find a long-term care model which is suitable to our country.
