ObjectiveTo investigate the current situation of long-term care needs of disabled elderly in medical and nursing institutions and analyze its influencing factors, and evaluate the application effect of drinking water care model for disabled elderly based on the concept of independent support care.Method1.The disability screening was conducted with ADL ability assessment questionnaire, and the long-term care needs of 352 disabled elderly who met the criteria were investigated.2.According to the method of random grouping, the rats were divided into control group(n = 50)and test group(n = 49).The experimental group implemented the drinking water care model for the disabled elderly based on the concept of self-support care(comprehensive evaluation of interdisciplinary team, design of personalized drinking water measures, implementation of independent drinking water measures, dynamic feedback of drinking water effect). The control group received routine drinking water care. The observation indexes were measured before intervention,3 months and 6 months after intervention.Result1.The long-term care needs of the disabled elderly are in the following order: health guidance, basic medical care, daily life care, spiritual comfort, social participation and specialist medical care. The main factors affecting the long-term care needs of the disabled elderly are the degree of disability, the way of living, the length of stay and the way of payment.2.After the implementation of the drinking water care model for the disabled elderly in old-age institutions based on the concept of independent support care, the amount of drinking water and depression scores of the disabled elderly were significantly higher than those of the control group(P< 0.05),and the fall risk score((MORSE))and mini-mental state((MMSE))score of the experimental group were better than those of the control group after 6 months of intervention.ConclusionThere are differences in long-term care needs of disabled elderly in medical and nursing institutions,so personalized long-term care services should be provided combined with influencing factors. The drinking water care model for the disabled elderly in pension institutions based on the concept of independent support care can effectively improve the amount of drinking water, depression, fall risk and cognitive status of the disabled elderly, and improve the quality of care.
