Objective:(1)To understand the status of social capital in late stage of primipara in Hangzhou;(2)The status of antepartum depression in late stage of primipara in Hangzhou;(3)Analyze the effect of social capital on prenatal depression in late stage of primipara in Hangzhou;(4)Using the method of social capital analysis to provide guidance for improving the mental health status of primipara.Methods:(1)Design research program based on the literature review of the research status of social capital concept,dimension and measurement.(2)Through the interview survey,expert advice,pre-survey,designed for formal research questionnaire.(3)Using the method of conception sampling,the obstetrics and gynecology hospital affiliated to Zhejiang University was selected as the research place,and the primipara was used as the research object between 30 and 36 weeks gestational age.Using the combination of paper questionnaires and electronic questionnaires,1075 valid questionnaires were collected.(4)Using SPSS20.0 Chinese version statistical analysis software,with P <0.05 as the test standard,using the variance analysis,t test,chi-square test,correlation analysis,multiple linear regression and other statistical analysis method,analyze the data collected in the field survey and verify the assumptions.Results:(1)The average score of social capital and the average scores of each dimension were: social capital(197.35 ± 49.25),social trust(30.32 ± 4.23),social reciprocity(22.87 ± 4.25),social network(109.85 ± 45.16),social participation(34.31 ± 7.61);the total score of social capital is divided into two groups,the number of high and low groups accounted for 54.1% and 45.9% of the total.This shows that the social capital level of the majority of primipara in Hangzhou is high.(2)Using the Edinburgh postnatal depression scale(EPDS)for prenatal depression screening,there were 293(27.3%)with depressive symptoms,including 247(23%)with mild depression and 46(4.3%)with severe depression.(3)The social capital of the primipara and its dimensions were negatively correlated with prenatal depression,the results show that the higher the total amount of social capital and its dimensions,the lower the prenatal depression score.(4)The regression analysis showed that the social capital dimensions of antenatal depression in Hangzhou were ranked according to the size of influence are: the scores of social trust,social participation,social network,but social reciprocity were not included in the regression equation.Conclusions: The social capital and antepartum depression scores of late pregnancy women both were affected by demographic characteristics.The general level of social capital in the late stage of pregnancy is lower.The social network level of the majority of primipara is high,but the social trust,social reciprocity and social participation are low,we can improve the social trust level and enhance social reciprocity to improve the level of social capital in the early stages of primipara;among the 4 dimensions of social capital,social trust,social participation,social network are the influence factors of prenatal depression,increasing the dimensions’ score of social capital can reduce the incidence of prenatal depression during pregnancy;in order to improve the mental health status of pregnant women during pregnancy in Hangzhou,this study proposes some guidance such as primipara can promote social trust,enhance mutual social level,optimizing the individual network structure,increase the degree of social participation during pregnancy.
