Objective:To explore the clinical application of five elements’ motion and six natural factors,the efficacy of Aster soup from Wuze Chen’s literature was observed in the treatment of patients with lung deficiency and cold invasion syndrome exogenous cough,to reveal the value of the use of Aster soup under the guidance of this theory and fully show the Chinese philosophy idea of correspondence between man and universe,which also can enrich the Chinese medicine treatment of exogenous cough.Method:In this study,patients with lung deficiency and cold invasion syndrome exogenous cough were used as the study subjects.The proportion of Chinese medicine group(60 cases)and Western medicine group(30 cases)was 2:1.The Chinese medicine group uses aster decoction,whose quantity can be changed based on the TCM theory of syndrome differentiation,while the Western medicine group uses robitussin.The total score of TCM syndrome,the lung deficiency syndrome score and the level of LCQ before and after treatments at every time point in both groups were recorded in 4 weeks’ treatment period.The cold onset times and cough recurrent times were also recorded in the following six months.Results:(1)Overall efficacy:the total effective rate of Chinese medicine group and Western medicine group are 90%and 73.3%;According to the SPSS2.0 statistical software analysis,the overall efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine group was higher than that of Western medicine group(P=0.043<0.05).(2)The total score of TCM Syndrome:according to the data of the patients who participated in the trial,the symptom scores of the two groups before and after treatment both drop gradually,but the traditional Chinese medicine group is more effective than the western medicine group in reducing the symptom score and relieving the clinical symptoms(P<0.05).(3)The score of lung deficiency syndrome:according to the data of the patients who participated in the trial,the score of lung deficiency syndrome of the two groups before and after treatment are both reduced gradually,but the traditional Chinese medicine group is much more effective(P<0.05).(4)The score of LCQ:according to the data of the patients who participated in the trial,the score of LCQ of the two groups before and after treatment both rise gradually,but the traditional Chinese medicine group has better results in treating process(P<0.05).(5)The cold onset times and cough recurrent times:compared with western medicine group,Chinese medicine group has less onset times(P<0.01)and can build up one’s physique to reduce the number of recurrence more effectively(P<0.05),according to follow-up data within 6 months after treatment. |
