A Clinical Study On The Effectiveness Of The Yangxue Qingnao Granule In Treating Mild And Moderate Post-stroke Depression

Objectives:Exploring the efficiency and safety of the Yangxue Qingnao Granule in treating mild and moderate post-stroke depression so that could provide reference for researches which condu-Ct in future.Methods:The study is multicenter self-controlled.Giving the patients Yangxue Qingnao Granules who were diagnosed the post-stroke depression,4 grams each time and three times a day orally,the drug sh-ould be taken 12 weeks.In this period,the medicine of curing cerebral infarction and other basic d-iseases was allowed.The researcher ask the patients some questions to scoring the MADRS scale,HAMD17 scale and HAMA scale at 0,2nd,6th,12th week respectively and scoring the NIHS-S scale at 0,12th week respectively.In addition,record the adverse reactions of the drug duringly.Analyzing the data of these scales with SPSS 21.0 so as to comparethe difference between prior to and after the study.The occurrence of the adverse reactions should be analyzed as well.Results:32 patients were included and 31 finished the study,lof them was lost.21 males and 10 females were included in the 3 lpatients,the average age of then is 66.19±7.95 years old and the the average course of disease is 4.28±2.62 weeks.The scores of MADRS were 14.936±4.195,12.097±2.737,8.936±1.263,the HAMD17 were 13.839±3.226,11.548±2.307,7.968±1.303 and the HAMA were 8.258±2.113,7.548±2.111,6.452±2.047 when taken the Yangxue Qingnao Granules2 weeks later,6 weeks later and 12 weeks later respectively.All of above items were significantlydifferent from the baseline Judging the effective ratio by the reduction proportion of the MADRS and HAMD17 scale,were 70.97%,67.74%respectively.Compared with the baselin-e,the score of NIHSS improvedsignificantly as well when 12weeks later.All of the 31 patients who completed the study had no adverse reactions.Conclusions:The study preliminary suggested that the Yangxue Qingnao Granules is effective in treating mild and moderate post-stroke depression and safe.However,the conclusions has its limitation because of small sample size and research methods.Studies which design rigorous and with large sample size need to conduct in the future.
