Clinical Observation On Effect Of Wenyang Xiefei Decoction In Patients With Decompensated Heart Failure

ObjectiveChronic Heart Failure(CHF)is the last period of all kinds of cardiac diseases,which threatens patients’ health,family harmony and social stability seriously.We call it Stability Heart Failure when the symptoms and signs are stable for a month.While we call it Decompensated Heart Failure(DHF)when the symptoms and signs exacerbate.DHF is part of CHF developmental stage.At present,there are a lot of clinical research of CHF treated with traditional Chinese medicine,but there are a few of clinical research of DHF.This research observe the clinical effect of Wenyang Xiefei Decoction on DHF and discuss Advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of heart failure.MethodsThere are 64 Decompensated Heart Failure patients who hospitalized in GuangDong Province Hospital Of Traditional Chinese Medicine ZHUHAI Branch.The patients were randomly divided into the treatment group(N=32)and control group(N=32).Before the research,in order to evaluate the patient’s condition,complete blood count,liver function and renal function were tested.According to guidebook,The control group received basic Western medicine treatment,such as Furosemide,Spironolactone,Metoprolol,Perindopril tablets,while the treatment group received Wenyang Xiefei Decoction in addition to the basic Western medicine treatment.The course of treatment were 14 days.The changes in NYHA,NT-proBNP,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syptom integral,heart rate and 6MWD after treatment were evaluated.Data collection,use spss20.0 software to build a database,the index patient as a variable entered into the computer.Using the chi-square test,t test to assess the differences between two groups to arrive at the findings.ResultsThere are 64 patients and their Age,gender,course of disease,NT-proBNP level and NYHA,TCM syptom integral,Complications had no statistical differences(P>0.05).(1)For the NT-proBNP:Wenyang Xiefei Decoction can significantly reduce patients’ NT-proBNP compared with control group,there was a significant difference(P<0.05).(2)For the NYHA:There was no significnat difference in the improment of NYHA between the two groups(93.75%vs 84.38%,P>0.05).(3)For the TCM syptom integral:the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference were statistically significant.(4)For the heart rate:both groups decreaed than before,the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).(5)For the 6MWD:both groups increaed than before,the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).conclusionIn the western anti-heart failure treatment while applying Wenyang Xiefei Decoction can decrease NT-proBNP level,TCM syptom integral,heart rate and increase 6MWD Significantly.Wenyang Xiefei Decoction in treatment of DHF had curative effect,and in improving symptoms and quality of patient’ s life had advantage.
