Objective Explore the nurses’ job satisfaction of Municipal public hospital in Chenzhou City and analyze the influencing factors, to provide policy advice and recommendations for nursing work of public hospitals in Chenzhou City,and affect the quality of care for effective intervention, so as to improve the quality of nursing, promote the nursing management level and improve the job satisfaction of nurses, improve the work efficiency of nurses.Methods Three Municipal public hospitals were selected by using simple random sampling in Chenzhou city of Hunan Province. 1100 nurses with the certificate were sampled from every department of the selected hospitals according to the method of proportional sampling(50%). Data were collected using a set of questionnaires that included use the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire(MSQ) and other scale, One-way t test and ANOVA were performed to compare difference among different groups. multiple-logistic analyses were used to analyses influencing factors of nurses’ job satisfaction.Results The mean score of nurses’ job satisfaction was 3.5162±0.4355.Statistically significant differences were found among nurses with different sex and different professional title, in the scores of turnover intention and the other dimensions except the dimension of satisfaction in work and life style(P<0.05);Statistically significant differences were found among nurses with different marriage statuses and with different working years in the score of turnover intention and other dimensions except the dimension of satisfaction in personal job involvement(P<0.05);Statistically significant differences were found among nurses with different hiring methods in the score of turnover intention and every dimension(P<0.05);No statistically significant differences were found among nurses with night shift or not in the score of turnover intention and every dimensions(P>0.05);Statistically significant differences were found among nurses with different education, in the scores of turnover intention and the other dimensions except the dimension of satisfaction in work environment( P<0.05); No statistically significant differences were found among nurses with different ages, and different monthly incomes in the score of turnover intention and every dimensions(P>0.05); Statistically significant differences were found among nurses in different hospital in the score of turnover intention and every dimension(P<0.05);The multiple logistic regression analysis showed that sex, working years and hiring methods were the influence factors of nurses’ job satisfaction.Conclusions The job satisfaction of male nurses was higher than that of female nurses, and the job satisfaction of married nurses was higher than that of unmarried nurses. Gender,hiring methods are the influencing factors of job satisfaction of nurses.The job satisfaction of nurses in public hospitals in Chenzhou was lower. |
