| Objective: Metabolic syndrome is a variety of metabolic disorders, including obesity, especially abdominal obesity, hypertension, impaired glucose tolerance, lipid metabolism disorders, and other metabolic disorders. The metabolic syndrome as many disease cluster set of complex, involving system function more physiological and pathological changes, signifying its complexity. At present, for the treatment of metabolic syndrome, and the continuous development of new drugs at home and abroad, to obtain the side effects also accompanied by a certain effect, and it will induce other complications. The drug treatment of metabolic syndrome in most cases is a single function: blood pressure, glucose or lipid lowering effect. To the overall control of the disease is required to take long term medication, economic burden and poor compliance, and other factors have limited the clinical application. In view of this, the use of traditional Chinese medicine to guide the treatment of the overall concept, in the traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture treatment to continue to explore and achieve a certain effect. It also believes that the core of the metabolic syndrome is the Triple energizer dysfunction, the Triple energizer dysfunction is an important pathogenesis. In view of this, the principles of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy from the overall concept, combined with the analysis of etiology and pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation and combination of all, the wen tong triple energizer treatment method will be realized. The purpose of this study was to observe the clinical effect through acupuncture on MS. From the triple energizer as starting point, select the level changes of lipid metabolism, glucose metabolism and BMI as observing index, through Triple energizer acupuncture intervention of MS, so as to clinical treatment of metabolic syndrome to provide a safe and effective treatments.Methods:1 Data collection and observation index:Write down the age, sex, height, BP and weight of all study members before and after treatment. Calculate BMI according to the formula BMI=weight(kg)/height(m)2.Fasting venous blood was collected from all study members the day before and after treatment. And the level of FBG, 2hPG, FINS, HOMA-IR, TG, TC, HDL and LDL were detected. Calculate HOMA-IR according to the formula HOMA-IR=FINS(mIU/L)×FBG(mmol/L)/22.5).Before and after treatment, two groups according to the self-made traditional Chinese medicine symptoms grading quantization table calculation of TCM symptoms integral, to assess the subjects before and after the treatment of TCM symptom improvement.2 Sample collecting:Seventy six metabolic syndrome patients were divided into two groups, control group and study group. There were thirty nine patients in control group and thirty seven patients in study group. The patients in control group were treated by conventional drugs, meanwhile the patients in study group were treated by conventional drugs and “Wen Tong Triple energizer” acupuncture. Compared of BMI, BP, glycometabolism index, lipid metabolism index and TCM symptom score include of two groups before and after treatment.3 Statistical methods:Analyze the data with Spss 13.0 and examine the results with homogeneity of variance test. We take advantage of test to analyze measurement data and make use of adjusted X~2 test to analyze enumeration data, and α=0.05, P<0.05 is statistical significance, P<0.01 is significantly different. Rank sum test was used to compare the grade data.Results:1 The changes of study groups’ BMI, SBP, DBP, FBG, 2hPG, FINS, HOMA-IR, TG, TC, LDL and HDL’s levels before and after treatment have statistical significance(P<0.05, P<0.01). The changes of control groups’ SBP, DBP, FBG, 2hPG, FINS, HOMA-IR, TG, TC, LDL levels before and after treatment have statistical significance(P<0.05, P<0.01).2 After treatment, comparison of two groups’ BMI、glycometabolism and lipid metabolism levels are statistical significance(P<0.05, P<0.01). And therapeutic effect of study group is significantly better than control group.3 The changes of two groups’ TCM symptom score before and after treatment have statistical significance(P<0.05);after treatment,compari son of two groups’ TCM symptom score are statistical sign-ificance(P<0.01). And therapeutic effect of study group is signify-cantly better th an control group.4 Comparison of the clinical efficacy of two groups, control group: the clinical cure three cases, twelve cases were markedly effective, effective in nineteen cases, invalid in five cases, the total efficiency of eighty seven percent. research group: the clinical cure in five cases, effective in seventeen cases, effective in thirteen cases, invalid in two cases, the total efficiency of ninety five percent. The calculated U value was two point seven four(P<0.01). There was significant difference in total effective rate between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01).Conclusion:1 Metabolic syndrome based on drug treatment for premise, “Wen Tong Triple energizer” acupuncture can cooperate effectively alleviate the metabolic syndrome in patients with insulin resistance, enhanced to correct the metabolic syndrome, glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism disorder — enhanced metabolic syndrome patients with a body mass index to improve the degree, reduce FBG, 2hPG, FBG, lower TC, TG,LDL-C and increase HDL-C.2 “Wen Tong Triple energizer” acupuncture can be in metabolic comprehensive syndrome occurred in the development of the therapeutic effects of drugs, improve the clinical symptoms of patients with metabolic syndrome and improve the regulating role of the physiological function of the whole body. |
