Nowadays, we are in an increasingly MOE mediascapes. MOE culture is everywhere from traditional media to new media. MOE culture, being a kind of popular sub-culture, itself not only reflects the ideology, mental and living states of the subject, but also emphasizes the close connection between social content and political ecology and cultural environment. MOE culture even affects the self expression of mainstream ideology and is high concentration of all kinds of social reality. Accordingly, the MOE symptoms study to media culture has become an important issue in the field of media culture research.The paper mainly focuses on the MOE symptoms of media culture in China. By the means of documentary research method, content analysis method and case study method, the related concept, general situation, expression form, reasons for the popularity, social impact and regulatory measures were studied interdisciplinarily. The paper revealed that the development of MOE culture in China made the popular culture increasingly on show, but there were still lots of problems in MOE culture itself, such as lack of content depth, low innovation, low cognition degree of audience, small industrial scale, penetration into the mainstream culture, adultification of children, causing low IQ society and hindering the healthy development of language.The paper systematically summarized the development of MOE culture in traditional media and new media. The reasons for its popularity and its negative influence were analyzed from multi-angles and some corresponding countermeasures to deal with the questions at present were proposed. It is hoped that this paper can inspire the academia and the media industry and promote the healthy development of the contemporary cultural ecological environment.
