Chinese author Liu Cixin’s Threebody won the Hugo Award. While the Chinese Medias were celebrating this prize, a New media carnival was holding by a group. This group is the Fans. The fans represent a subculture, and now everyone in China know about the Sci-Fi. The carnival is interesting, but the fans translate the pop science fiction culture to something new that can be received by the public by diverting and split joint was amusing. These homemade works including video, audio and text, is the fans’reproduction of the original fiction. Behind this reproduction is the passion of the fans, more important is the cognition and the value of this group. Somehow we can observe the conflict between fans and the official about the film of Threebody. This series of landscape, a more complete mapping of the consumption of fans-the process of reproduction of popular culture.Research on the fans and their behavior, also is studying the popular culture. The study of the fan group and its behavior characteristics is the need to understand the mass culture and to do the research of culture. In the era of new media, the audience’s initiative with the development of the media to further enhance the cultural reproduction of the fan group is also more clear show. In terms of the science fiction fans discussed in this article, only the composition of its population is very complex, from the age, education, occupation, and other dimensions, have no deep consideration of this group. The audience is active. No matter what form of the media audience, they all doing the reproduction somehow. Specifically, the archiving, misappropriation, conversion and reproduction of a science fiction by fans is the embodiment of this pattern. This pattern is no doubt the significance of the production process, and the initiative of the group of fans to become an important part of the significance of reproduction. New media and media fusion promote the fans’ consumption of the Sci-Fi culture, and motivate the behavior of fans. Meanwhile this new trend also have an effect on the fans’reproduction of meaning. The social network make the fans isolated no more. This progress of meaning is strengthened by the ’collective intelligence’.This study selected the fans of Threebody and the community more active in a variety of new media platforms for the study, using the research methods such as Participant observation, Content analysis, Text analysis and In-depth interviews with a view to the relative depth inquiry Chinese Sci-Fi fans and its reproduction behavior of science fiction culture, and try to answer the following questions:1, What’s the cultural products of science fiction represented by the novel Threebody? What qualities attract the fans? 2, What kind of motivation do the domestic Sci-Fi fans have? What’s the difference between them and the ordinary fans? What’s heir consumption pattern? How about their Identity Construction? 3, How to explain the Sci-Fi fans’ productive consumption? What do they create? In which way? And how about the relationship between the fans and the authority? In the study,we can find that although the culture of science fiction present as a subculture, it has a more widespread audience more than we thought, and they create varieties of arts. These cultural products present a unique ideological content and the contemporary spirit.
