The Research Of Reports About Ecological Civilization Construction Of People’s Daily

In recent years, fast economic growth of China unavoidably brings the shortage of resources, serious environmental pollution and ecosystem degradation. Ecological protection begin to enter the mainstream view of macro decision-making and system reform. To be the development strategic policy of the party and the state which commands the effort of the whole society, ecological civilization construction must become one of the most important report directions of news media.To be the central authority party newspaper, People’s Daily has set up page of ecological weekly since January 5,2013. It is the duty of ecological weekly’s to report hot issues and topic in the process of ecological civilization construction.The article is based on clearly defining the meaning of ecological civilization construction report. The object of study is the reports of ecological weekly from July 2013 to June 2014. The article use both qualitative and quantitative analysis to statistic the reports’ types, sources, agenda and keynote to induce the news reports’feature and problems. Then we need to find the source and offer some suggestions.The result shows that People’s Daily’s ecological civilization construction reports’ connotation is abundant and it is good at in-depth reporting. The overall framework tends to report the achievement of ecological civilization construction. The reports’ inadequacies include that some news columns’position are not clear, some content is unbalanced, source is anitary, et al.. So People’s Daily’s ecological civilization construction reports should strengthen the reports’feature, balance the the amount of each topic, increase the communication with environmental protection NGO and the general public. Expecting to perform the news media’s function of supervision in the ecological civilization construction.The study’s significance is more than developing the communication capacity for news media’s ecological civilization construction reports. It can also provide standard improve the communication effect. The most important point is helpful to provide suggestions to ecological civilization construction, feed back suggestions of public and improve the ecology civilization consciousness of the whole society.
