| The People’s Daily news reports are said to have been have authority and professionalism, and the Ecological Weekly Edition’s environmental features is the continuation of this characteristic. This study bases on the Ecological Weekly in the People’s Daily as the research object, using the content analysis method and combining with Zangguo Ren’s framework including three layers structure. Then I explain the 693 of its 2013-2014 environmental news for quantitative analysis and qualitative. By analyzing its report topics, sources, genre, tone, report content (include the main event, background, tracing the cause, result, evaluation), news narrative mode, image use and quotation, using of data and so on, I try to discuss the selection bias in the production process, characteristics of the reports and use framework. Moreover, when using these frameworks to report, it emerges the deficiencies and improvement measures.Ecological weekly, a study found that, in the frame of the environmental report embodies the "green" development philosophy, focusing on the achievements of environmental management and ecological construction. At the same time, it sticks to the facts as the core, and emphasis on building a reality. But on the other hand, it is in the public right of media supervision, risk early warning and humanistic care on certain deficiencies. This paper will put forward the corresponding suggestion in order to improve the environment news report. The measures include balancing the public voice, increasing the critical reports, increasing the risk information presentation, attaches great importance to the environmental news focus on "people" and so on.Studying of Ecological Weekly news report to the environment characteristic and framework, can help to understand the present our country newspaper news report level and cognitive to the environment. Besides, its advantages and disadvantages of environmental reports can be provided reference for other newspaper. |
