| Zou Taofen(1895-1944), China’s modern outstanding patriot, also a soldier walking fromdemocracy to communism, is a famous Chinese journalist, political commentator, andpublisher. As the editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine Life and newspapers and periodicalsPublic Life, Life Daily, Anti-Japanese War, his work achievements have been written into theannals of China’s modern publishing history. The experience of running a newspapersummarized by him has become an important theoretical wealth to our modern news edit andpublication.Based on Zou Taofen’s news thoughts as the research object, utilizing newspapers andperiodicals as well as related historical data and collected works, and combining relevantnews theories, this paper explores the theoretical origin, practice basis and characteristics ofthe main content of Zou’s news thoughts.
