TV channel between the competition is increasingly fierce, theindividual differences to highlight the TV channel, to remain invincible inthe fierce competition, they must have in shaping the image of the one’sown knack in channel. The TV channel package is the key means to createbrand television media, is also an effective way to achieve sustainabledevelopment of TV channel.This paper systematically reviews the conceptual development historyand current situation, and states the conception, function and significanceof TV package. According to the accordance between TV package andTe1evision Identity System (TIS), the specific content and meaning of TISare explored from three parts, including Mind Identity (MI), BehaviorIdentity (BI) and Visual Identity (VI).In this thesis, as an example the overall package of Hunan Satellite TVis investigates from three aspects: TIS of Hunan TV, package design ofHunan Satellite TV, and features and innovation of package Hunan TV inthree aspects were discussed. The subject of this study is the package ofHunan Satellite TV, and its “happiness conception” is used as thebreakthrough point. By deeply digging the package features and studyingthe package design of TV brand, creative ideas and production processes ofoverall package design of Hunan Satellite TV are technically summarized. Meanwhile, on the basis of theoretical analysis the package features HunanSatellite TV is divided into the combination of planning and theme, offashionable and diverse, of star effect and large-scale events. It is proposedthat the innovative features of Hunan TV package is a breakthrough andinnovation of technology, and is an innovation of representation. Then, fourbasic design principles of television package are summed up: simplicityprinciple, uniqueness principle, unity principle, and the principle of theinterests of the audience. Finally, innovation means for television packagedesign can be concluded: domination based on the needs of the audience,improvement based on reference, and invention based objective. Innovationstrategies can be divided into innovation and winning strategy, filling thelack strategy and star host strategy.
