| With the highly advanced development of telecommunication technology, mobilephone has become one of the most important tools for people to contact with each other.Compared with the other communication methods, mobile phone possesses moreadvantages such as convenient, real-time, interactive as well as individualized. In the meantime, the combination of network media and traditional media with the mobile media hasbecome the main way of the transmission of sports information and the universitystudents are the biggest part of the users. Through the mobile-media, they enjoy a lot and itis also beneficial for improving their campus life.In this study, students from five universities of Beijing which were TsinghuaUniversity, Beijing University of Technology, Central University of Finance andEconomics, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Capital Institute ofPhysical Education were taken as the research samples. The methods of documentinvestigation, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and logical analysis wereadopted in this study. Through the investigation, it was found that mobile media hadbecome the main way for the university students of Beijing to get the sports information.Moreover, WAP web portals, mobile social software and APP were much more popularthan the other mobile media forms as they contained more information, and were moreefficiency and multitudinousness. More than two thirds of the students acquired theseinformation frequently, even more than one time a day, but the time was lower than30minutes. For the aim to use the mobile-media, they were more likely to get sportsinformation, watch live sports games and gain sports knowledge. For the main kind ofinformation they get were sports news, sports knowledge and forecast of the games. Thereasons that they chose mobile-media were its high instantaneity and convenience, but theythought it also had some drawbacks which were bad network instability, bad batterycapacity and low widespread of the4G network.In conclusion, the mobile-media was more popular than the other kinds of media andit revealed positive influence on the college students to join sports. For further study, theinfluence degree of the mobile-media on the students who majored in PE was much higherthan that of the non-PE majored students, their attitude about sports should be improved;the application of APP were helpful for the students to gain more sports but there wasalmost one third of the students who had even unknown about it, we should pay moreattention to this problem. The mobile communication software seemed to encourage morestudents to do more exercise as they would communicate with each other about the sports;sports information was more popular when people use mobile-media and it offered a good opportunity for the university students to get more fitness knowledge as well as practice. Ithad a big influence for them to join the PE sports but the share rate of PE knowledgethrough the mobile-media was not high. |
