With rapid development of communication technology, the prices of mobile phones and other electronic products increasingly common in modern society. The use of mobile phone commo nly in college students with advance of people’s living standards. Currently, the popularization rate for cell phone is close to100%among student population, some students even own two phones. Ce11phones, which come into being an indispensable part in college students’life, furthermore, beco ming part of the students’body nearly. With the continuous advancement of media technology, mo bile media much favored by college students with its characteristics that portable, real-time interaction, privacy and rapid production, production and dissemination of information. The College students is one of the main groups for using this new medium. With using mobile media ex tensive and high frequency in the student population, as poor self-control, over-reliance on long unc ontrolled use of mobile media and other reasons, the physical and mental health of college students suffered great damage."Mobile phone addiction"appears in the student population and getting worse. It is not only harmful to the health of college students, but also affects the quality of life and learn for college students a certain extent.The study found that almost all college students have experience to use the phone in the classroom; college students use mobile phones frequently. The most important purpose of which is communication with each other; parts of the students have varying degrees of dependency on mobile phones, which disrupting the health learning habits of college students that formed from childhood. Excessive dependence on mobile media makes college students indulging in virtual community which constructed by mobile media, resulting in emotional anxiety, irritability, escapism. Additionally, have an adverse impact on the college’s values.The first chapter reviewed the scholars’research which mobile media and relative media dependence theory, introduced the research background, research methods and significance. The second chapter investigated and analysised the basic situation of China’s college students use mobile phones and rely on the phone,and on the basis of which we had a detail study of mobile media and its features, mobile phone addiction and dependence on mobile media college performance, type and characteristics. The third chapter discussed the causes and negative effects of college students rely on mobile media in detail. The fourth chapter reseached the object (society) and subject (college studies) two aspects, and made some feasibility ways to help students put the end of mobile media dependence. For helping students learn to treat the media information rational in media environment, to be a criticalness audience. Guiding students use mobile media, which emerging medium rationally, to get rid of over-reliance on mobile media, develop a positive, healthy, progressive, positive, effective learning and lifestyle for college students.
