Objective: To investigate diaper dermatitis knowledge、attitude、practice and demands of pediatric nurses in 9 general hospitals of Guizhou province,and analyze the impact factors among pediatric nurses, thus find the questions existed and put forward some suggestions and measures for them. In order to provide theoretical basis for diaper dermatitis nursing education and nursing management. Methods: Using purposive sampling,a total of 375 pediatric nurses were investigated with a self-designed questionnaire about diaper dermatitis knowledge、attitude、practice and demands.The investigation results were coded and input the Epidata3.1 to establish a database, using SPSS19.0 statistical analysis package for data analysis, the measurement data can be described by frequency distribution and percentage, while the counting card information is described by mean and standard deviation. Influence factors using multiple linear regression analysis. Results: 1. 375 questionnaires were distributed and 362 completed records were obtained(valid return rate is 96.5%). 2. The mean score of diaper dermatitis knowledge of pediatric nurses in 9 general hospitals of Guizhou province was 74.89±13.76.The mean score of diaper dermatitis attitude was 20.93±3.22.While the mean practice score of diaper dermatitis was 19.40±3.52. 3. Correlation analysis showed:pediatric nurses’ knowledge of diaper dermatitis was positively correlated with attitude(r=0.152,P<0.01), attitude towards diaper dermatitis was significantly positively correlated with practice(r=0.409,P<0.01),while the knowledge of diaper dermatitis were not significant with attitude(P>0.05). 4. 63.81% of the pediatric nurses thought that the diaper dermatitis knowledge learning in the college cannot meet the clinic needs.5. Only 48.90% pediatric nurses can describe diaper dermatitis exactly. And in clinical, they appropriate nursing care not according to the graduation.6. Educational level、department were the main factors influencing diaper dermatitis knowledge、attitude、practice(P<0.05).7. Position were the main factors influencing diaper dermatitis attitude、practice(P<0.05).8. Multiple stepwise regression analysis was used to study the factors of diaper dermatitis KAP scores,the main factors impacting pediatric nurses’ diaper dermatitis knowledge、attitude scores were the department,working experience,education level;main factors impacting pediatric nurses’ diaper dermatitis behavior were department、education level、position. Conclusion: The attitude on diaper dermatitis of the pediatric nurses achieve the positive level, but the cognition status is not optimistic. Nursing administrators and pediatric nurses should should strengthen the standard training,and therefore establish a diaper dermatitis standardized nursing process and risk assessment tools gradually.Thus, the nurse can fully play their role in the diaper dermatitis precaution management.
