The reliability and factor analysis was conducted to examine the reliability and validity of the pre-survey scale, and to verify the scientific nature of the scale. The cognition and evaluation data were collected from two perspectives of medical staff and patients On the spot investigation of tertiary general hospitals in Jiangsu with an on-site survey. Use descriptive statistical analysis to understand the evaluation of the Humanistic Construction of the sample hospital; use single factor analysis of variance and non-parametric test for statistical inference; conduct difference analysis on cognitive appraisal of humanistic construction from doctors and patients with different demographic characteristics to explore the common human needs in different objects.Results:(1)The reliability and validity test results show that the scale has good reliability and validity.(2)From four aspects of humanistic idea, humanistic management, humanistic service and humanistic environment, both doctors and patients hold high evaluation on each index of hospital cultural construction, comprehensive evaluation of doctors is slightly higher than that of patients. The doctors pay much more attention to the cultural environment than to the humanistic service while evaluation of patients is on the contrary.(3)Medical personnel with different demographic characteristics have different cognitive evaluations on hospital humanistic construction-----the younger with more shallow seniority of the medical staff pay more attention to humanistic building. Medical personnel pay more attention to maintaining their own interests than that of patients. The evaluation of nursing staff on the humanistic concept and humanistic service is the highest while the administrative staff’s is the lowest; medical personnel in primary title pay more attention to humanistic service than those in senior professional titles; medical personnel in southern area pay less attention to humanistic management and humanistic environment.(4)Patients pay more attention to humanistic service than medical personnel, especially the service process; the younger the patient is or the higher proportion of expense the patients have to pay by themselves, the more attention they would pay to humanistic service; pediatric patients pay more attention to humanistic construction of hospital than patients in other departments.Recommendations:The countermeasures and suggestions should be proposed from the core value concept, the humanistic management mode, the overall humanistic service and the hospital environment respectively.
