ObjectivesTo explore the connotation of core competence and construct a set of cardiovascular specialized nurses core competence evaluation index system, which is scientific, reasonable and adapt to the development of Chinese specialty nursing, to provide objective and effective reference for training, selection, examination and evaluation, and promote the development of specialty nursing career.MethodsThe core competence of cardiovascular specialized nurse dimensions and index entries based on literature review and theory analysis, through two-rounds of Delphi method to determine the index system of core competency, and to establish the weight coefficient by precedence chart and Delphi method. To examine the representativeness and reliability of Delphi method by calculated the positive coefficient, authority coefficient of experts, coordination coefficient and other indexes. SPSS 19.0 was used for data entry and analysis.Results1. The core competence of cardiovascular specialized nurse evaluation index system consists of 4 first level indexes, including theoretical knowledge, professional skill, correlation ability and professional special characteristic,23 second level indexes and 112 third level indexes.2. After two rounds of Delphi, the positive coefficient of experts were 0.93 and 0.92 respectively, the authority coefficient was 0.90, the judgment coefficient was 0.96, and the familiar coefficient was 0.84. For first and secondary indexes, the coordination coefficient of expert were 0.540 and 0.506, the overall coordination degree was 0.505, the chi-square test was P< 0.001,and the difference was statistically significant.3. The weight of first level index was determined by precedence chart. The weight of A theoretical knowledge was 0.309, the weight of B professional skill was 0.372, the weight of C of correlation ability was 0.184, the weight of D professional special characteristic was 0.135. The weight of second level index was determined by Delphi method, the weight of Al anatomy was 0.116, A2 physiology knowledge was 0.121, A3 pharmacological knowledge was 0.125, A4 cardiovascular disease related knowledge was 0.109, A8 pathophysiology was 0.106; the weight of Bl ability of assessment was 0.253, B2 specialized skills was 0.244, B3 the ability of emergency and rescue was 0.253, B4 critical illness competence was 0.250; the weight of Cl ability of communication was 0.185, C2 ability of cooperation and coordination was O.178,C3 ability of educational scientific research was 0.158, C4 ability of professional growth was 0.160, C5 health promotion and disease prevention was 0.157, C6 ability of psychological nursing was 0.162; the weight of Dl professional acceptance was 0.188, D2 sense of responsibility was 0.220, D3 ability of adaptability was 0.195, D4 empathy was 0.182, D5 inner concentration was 0.215.ConclusionsThe study constructed a cardiovascular specialist nurse core competence evaluation index system by using scientific research method, included 44first level index,23 second level index and 112 third level indexes and established the first and second level index weight coefficient. Expert opinion was consistent, the results was scientific and reliable, the evaluation index system can provide a reference for cardiovascular specialized nurses’training, selection, examination and evaluation.
