Observe The Characteristic Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution Of Refractory Sudden Deafness

Objective:Collect the clinical materials of 71 patients(87 ears) who suffered from the intractable sudden deafness through the questionnaire survey and analyze these materials retrospectively.Observe the distribution of their constitutions and explore the diagnosis and treatment methods of this disease. Observe the distribution of related factors such as age, the first time to diagnose, the right and left ears, the hearing loss of ear(s),the types of hearing loss, any accompanying general diseases, etc. Observe the distribution of their constitutions characteristics according to the morbidity and constitution classification scales judging standard which aimed to guide the clinical therapy.Methods:The research objects are the patients who suffered from sudden deafness but had no therapeutic effect after 2 weeks’standardized therapy,or those whose courses longer than 3 months without any therapy. Collect information of patients through questionnaire survey; The questionnaire includes two tables:table 1 includes the basic information of patients; Table 2 includes the constitutions. Analyze the related factors and the constitutions and do statistical analysis on observation index such as gender, age,predisposing factors, history, see doctors in time or not, the hearing loss ear (s), general diseases, diet, sleep,other basic conditions and type of condition through the SPSS21.0 software.Results:This study collected 71 cases of sudden deafness,24 of whom were men while 47 were women; minimum age was 23 years old and maximum age was 81 years old; 54 cases were associated with one ear while 17 cases with two ears, most predisposing factors were cold, overwork, mental stress, lack of sleep and other comprehensive factors.This research about constitution indicates:constitution of 22 cases were qi deficiency,25 cases were Yang deficiency,13 cases were qi and Yang deficiency,4 cases were Yin deficiency,3 cases were Yin and Yang deficiency and 4 cases were dampness-heat constitution.12 cases had deficiency syndrome; 55cases had deficiency complicated with excess syndrome;4 cases had excess syndrome. The major parts of these cases had qi or Yang deficiency constitution.Conclusion:The observation of 71 cases of refractory sudden deafness patients in the majority with" deficiency constitution ",Yang deficiency constitution ranks first. Followed by Qi deficiency constitution and Qi-yang deficiency constitution. The empirical in Deficiency syndrome such as phlegm, damp heat, blood stasis, Fixed protection Vital qi is most important to Treatment and Auxiliary with Removal of pathogens; From of the distribution between the physical and the pathogenic factors of the 71 patients:Such as the Constitution and gender, age, single and double ears, the time of initial diagnosis, course of disease, disease, hearing curve graphics, found in most "Yang-qi deficiency constitution " are, that of refractory sudden deafness constitution had correlation with above factors.
