Sudden deafness is an acute sensorineural hearing loss without clear causes. Usually the loss of patients' hearing declines at the lowest point within several minuties or hours and a day. Viral infection and vascular occlusion are considered two main reasons, and the therapies for this disease are various. At present, various therapy plans are adopted clinically surrounding the removal of cochlea microcirculation obstacles. The aim of this dissertation is to explore the curative effects of two different therapies and multiple related predisposing causes in treatment of sudden deafness by the analysis of clinical cases of 96 patients treated in HeNan Province People's Hospital between Oct.2001 and Oct.2004. Methods96 cases (107 ears) as research targets were divided into two groups: Group A (Urokinase) with 50 cases (55 ears)were treated by Urokinase injection and Salvia Mictiorrhiza injection.
