Study Of Current Situation And Cultivation On Medical English Professional Talent

Medical profession is a foundation, a global subject. With the development of globalization, academic and technical communication among countries is more and more widely, and English as the first language in the world, is widely applied. Therefore, social demand for medical professional English talents is growing. This research summarizes the present situation of the medical English professional talents cultivation at home and abroad and analyzes the mode of medical colleges and universities personnel training. We also investigate the influence of knowledge, ability and quality on medical English professional students during the period of school education and detect the situation of medical English professional talent cultivation and the problems in teaching, and finally explore the medical English professional talents cultivation based on KAQ mode.It is found that the opening time of domestic medical English professional is short. Researchers have done some research on the medical English teaching, there are some differences on the training mode and teaching methods among different medical colleges and universities, and the universities which focusing on English talents training accounted for 87.50%.Non-native countries abroad pay much attention to the development of medical English and native English countries also attaches great importance to the training of medical professional English talents, in order to medical students can accurately communicate with patients in the practice process.This paper summarizes medical English professional curriculum as well as the present cultivation situation of several representative medical colleges, and survey the student satisfaction of school education of foreign language institute of ChongQing medical university. Survey indicates student overall satisfaction to university education is general, the satisfaction on the training of medical practice and knowledge is low, and the satisfaction of basic English teaching is high. Most of the students consider there is deficiency on medical knowledge cultivation. The cultivation of medical English talents needs prominent characteristics, combining cultivation of medical knowledge and the cultivation and English ability. Students and teachers all think there are aspects need to improve, especially the ability and quality aspects.This study points out that medical English professional talent training must develop measurable training objectives combining with the development trend of medical English talent and the market demand, make reasonable professional courses, build the characteristics of medical English education system, strengthen the construction of teaching staff, reform the current teaching model, perfect teaching management system, base on school teaching and social practice, as to promote the comprehensive qualities of students from three aspects as knowledge, ability and quality.
