With the rapid development of science and technology, welding is used more and more widely, such as auto manufacturing, shipyard, etc. Welding is indispensable to the modern industrial process, welding process contains phyletic types, mainly with manual arc welding, carbon dioxide protection welding, argon arc welding, submerged arc welding, etc. Welding process will produce a lot of smoke,toxic gases, ultraviolet irradiation and noise,which can cause welder pneumoconiosis, manganese poisoning, respiratory tract inflammation, neurasthenia, and other occupational hazard diseases. The occupational hazard factors have been threatening the health of welding workers, and are harmful to survival environment. At present our country’s overall level about welding mechanization and automation is not high, but the production amounts of welding materials are the first place in the world for many years, thus the welding production environment, worker’s health and safety issues are still outstanding, so strengthing the monitoring and governing for toxic gases of welding process are the the top priority to occupational health and environmental protection in current.This topic selected 31 welding workshop from 2012 to 2014 in Dalian as the research object, mainly maked environmental hazard identification, monitoring,risk assessment and data analysis in welding workshop as the main research contents, and hazard control measures were put forward. These have played a positive role in sustainable development and the workers’ health for the welding workshop of industrial enterprises in Dalian.This paper adopted the national standard method to collect the air sample and to test the dust and harmful chemical materials in the lab, or to test physical factors at the scene in daily. Collected welding workers’ occupational health records about 1282 workers, then analysed these data by use of software EXCEL,SPSS13.0, then the changing rules and the correlation between the monitoring data were concluded. Divided the harmful substances in the welding workshop into occupational hazard level, assessed hazard work grade at the work sites, and finally in view of the hazard factors in the welding workshop,environmental prevention and control measures were put forward.Through monitoring,evaluating and analyzing in this article, we found the concentration of toxicant is on the decline in three years; The concertration of dust and manganese dioxide produced by four kinds of welding process was not significant different respectively; Abnormal proportion of welder healthy examination was low, and that matched the degree of pollution in welding workshop; The welding operation classification for four welding workshop with excessive manganese dioxide, one for level Ⅱ, one for level Ⅲ,the remaining two for level 0; Finally, effective control measures were put forward. Overall, the environmental and sanitary conditions of welding workshop are constantly improving and enhancing in Dalian.
